I'm just doing some personal insight on how other people are utilizing their Nintendo DS and Flashcarts.
Name some of the coolest Home-brew or features you have on your flashcart and are using on your Nintendo DS.

I own a DSTWO, a DSTT clone from r4i-sdhc.com and a recently adquired Acekard 2i.
Apart of using them for rom loading I use some exclusive features from them like the extra CPU on DSTWO and the Acekard for Akaio and its flashable bootloader. The clone is just because it was cheap [emoji14]

sometimes emulators
sometimes as save managers
use them to play translated games or rom hacks
my ds flashcart is pretty much abandoned, kinda lost interest in the DS, lately i had been playing gba a lot

Isn't an emulator required to play the roms?

using a DS flashcart to play DS roms, doens't use emulators.
using a GBA flashcart to play GBA roms, doesn't use emulators.
playing game boy color games on DS requires emulators.

Mainly playing Tomodachi Collection (translated) and Pokemon Bing Crystal (in lameboy)
And making Flipnotes but that doesn't need a flashcard :)

That thing is a rechargeable battery... for reference the black thing on the left is a standard microusb-B socket :)

and yep, DSOne/i decided to use SRAM for saving instead of making the games write "directly" to the microsd (probably because it may be a less intrusive patch)

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
