Gaming Weird lines going down the screen

Hi,

I am having a problem with my Acer Aspire laptop. Sometimes when I close the lid and then open it again, I get strange lines going down the screen. Picture is at the bottom of this post.
I have proven that is is not a hardware problem because of the fact that the mouse pointer is in front of the lines, as you can see in the picture, but still, when I take a screenshot and paste it into Paint, the lines are not there.

Anyone know why this is happening?

Looks like a video card issue. Try getting new drivers or rolling back.
