Please post weekly sales figures in General Gaming Discussion. Thank you.

I feel this post requires some explanation, especially to those who weren't around when the situation warranted that this sticky be made.
This post was the direct result of members posting sales figures as "news" every week just to show how well/poorly certain consoles were doing. These weekly sales topics invariably led to fanboy flaming and trolling among members, and most of the other members were getting tired of it (as were the staff from constantly dealing with reported posts from these topics).
This post was made with the intention of stopping said flame wars, and also to stop the weekly sales reports. OMG OMG consoles get bought and sold every week. It's not news.
That said, we don't mind when someone posts news-worthy sales figures once in a while.
Weekly, banal sales reports posted for the sole purpose of showing one console's supposed superiority/inferiority over another console will be deleted.
