Hey all i am new at this Wii .iso stuff so any help would be great. I am using a external 500GB hard drive and the program i am using is WBFS Manager 4.0.

I have a few iso's that i want to move over to the external hard drive. I know how to load up the external hard drive letter and format it just fine. And i also know how to browse to my .iso file in order to add it to the external hard drive. But once it starts to transfer, the progress bar stops about 9% or may not even start and never moves again.

What could i be doing wrong?

I had a problem like this. It ended up being a write sector problem.

Hopefully, thats not the case.

You can write to the drive just fine outside of WBFS manager?

Try Wii Backup Manager and let us know if it is still unsuccessful...

Alright I formatted the hard drive again using NTFS and then used the Wii Backup Manager to send the iso to the hard drive (in iso format) and tried to load it up in the usb loader on the wii and nothing shows up?

The hard drive is WD passport 500GB

What am i doing incorrect?

I could be mistaken, but the later Passport drives have built in software into the firmware that cannot be totally disabled and interferes with adding iso files. I had that problem and switched to using WD Portable Elements drives, which work perfectly.

Look at the compatibility chart for hard drives.

Ok i finally got it to copy over using WBFS Manager 4.0 and it shows up in the USB Loader GX. However, when i click to run the game i either get a black screen or a black screen and then "An error has occurred" Press the Eject button, remove the game disc... etc etc"

I am trying to run these games:
New Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario All-Stars

I've tried "scrubbing" them and Triming and they still do not work!!!! Any help would be wonderful!! ugg!

I don't know about SMA, but for New Super Mario Bros, I had the same problem.

My initial dump (made directly by USB Loader GX from the original disc) just gave an immediate black screen.

I then manually applied an IPS patch (by retrieving the ISO to the PC, applying the patch, and retransferring it to the external wbfs hard drive), which allowed me to load the game. But after ten minutes of play - crash, "an error has occured, blabla".

I'm wondering if this could be because I initially asked for a "1:1 Copy" when installing (making the dump), as this was the option i had selected in settings (which i now have changed but it's too late for this dump).

I'd suggest...

- check that the "1:1 Copy" option is set to "no"
- redump the game with this option
- see if it loads. if it doesn't, try switching the "err 002 fix" in the settings. if it doesn't do anything, try applying the ips patch. It should at least let you boot the game... and then hope you don't get another error in mid-play.
