i am running sysNAND 4.1.0 and emuNAND 4.1.0. each time i try to start the game through classic mode, im given the game card was removed error.

i have tried formatting emuNAND, and it did not work. i have tried updating emuNAND, but when I do, it never loads and im left stuck on a black screen. im not sure what else i can do at this point other than play the rom through my gateway card.
is there any way to update sysNAND without losing the ability to use the gateway card?

I didn't know there was a "Classic Mode" for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon. Or is Classic Mode a Homebrew app?

It's a Gateway feature.

4.1.0 is incredibly outdated, why have you never updated?
A lot of games require newer firmware versions to work, even with GW's firmware version spoofing.
You can update emuNAND to 11.2 (the latest supported by GW), but leave sysNAND alone.
Get one of the ROMs for your region containing 11.2, the list can be found here: http://3dsdb.com/ (just enter 11.2 in the search box)
Enter the GW menu and hold D-Pad Up while Boot Gateway Mode is highlighted and press A, which will disable cartridge update blocking so you can update your emuNAND using the ROM you downloaded.
Make sure you update launcher.dat first though.

If I can put my mind past the fact the big pizza places use cheap cheese that isn't 100% cheese, I do like the taste.

The secret ingredient is having a mixer for the dough and a special pizza oven for the pizza - honestly it makes it easy.
trying to do it in a regular oven just isn't going to get you 100% there
but of course cost is an issue for most people. I use the pizza oven twice a week so to me it's worth it

A little pizza oven like an Ooni is possible but not really practical for me since I'm in an apartment. Would be a pain in the ass plus I gotta store it and what not
