Also, note that cIOS rev7 does allow backups to be launched from the disc channel, so in most cases, the SoftChip loader is not required. However, for region patching, language customization, (etc), some form of loader application is still needed.

Does this mean I just need to install this cIOS with HBC and I could run backups straight without anything else?

The disk channel, like any other title, runs off an IOS.

If you can patch the system menu to run off cIOS (IOS249), then backup loading will work through the disk channel.

There is 2 ways to do this.

Permanent patch: none publicly released as yet.
Temporary patch: You can achieve this via Menu Patcher, Menu Loader Clone (set IOS options to 249) and Gamma Backuploader (via "rebooter" function).

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
