Where does one find out what version of firmware their Wii is running?

The Wii menu at the bottom right of the main Wii channel screen. Then (not sure if you can see your FW version already but you might have to go deeper in the Wii menu to see it) look at the top right of the screen.

Go into wii settings/save data manager (bottom left) and it should show in the top right corner, if not go into wii settings with the button on the right, it'll definitely show up there. Latest version as of now is 3.1.
