ROM Hack VCG, VCL, and VCE files

VCL is the palette file. (It's 16-color palette so the first 8 bytes are header and the remaining 0x20 bytes are your palette.) You can open it (the decompressed file) with CT2, move the cursor to address 0x08 and go to Edit menu and select 'Data->Palette conversion'. At CT2's Palette tab, click Export and save it as something .pal. You can import that .pal file to view you VCG file with it.

BTW, here's the setting I used to view the image above.

VCE should be something similar to NCER file that tells how to arrange the tiles, etc. (I don't know much about this but you can look at Tinke's source code or some definition of NCER format.)

Wow, thanks! I never knew that CT2 could do that.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out and see if I can figure out the VCE files.
