Valve makes good on promise to bring anti-cheat to Linux

Epic Games has just announced that it's anti-cheat software (EAC) now supports Linux, and apparently BattlEye isn't far behind.

This is pretty big news for the Steam Deck as this was one of the biggest hurdles for making a lot of popular games compatible with it's Linux-based ecosystem.

Looks like BattlEye compatibility with Proton will left up to developers to opt-in.. or not.
