Gaming using my HD on my friends firmware flashed xbox

Ok here's the beef.

I've recently moved house and currently there are multiple xbox's in our house, I've decided to leave mine at my parents since it's only up the road and, I can play HD-goodness.

What I would like to know is that if I take my Hard Drive off a unflashed box, and use it to play on my friends modded xbox (which was flashed a very long time, so it'll have prehistoric firmware on it) AND only play originals on it could is still get potentially banned from live?

Only the Xbox console itself is banned from Xbox LIVE, gamertags haven't been banned at this stage for being played on modded consoles.

So you will be 100% fine and your gamertag won't be banned.

Why would you get banned if the first place? You are playing originals. and if you did get banned the console is the thing that gets banned not your gamer profile or hard drive.
