Hacking Use IOS247 for Backuplauncher 0.3

Take a look on the first post of this thread. Try to follow it step by step and tell me exactly where you get a problem.

Right I did 1,2 and 3 and am lost on 4 as I can not find IOS249 on Dvdx. Only difference is for step number 2 I used cios_uninstaller by Waninkoko because I dont understand how to use AnyTitleDeleter. If you maybetell me how to uninstall IOS247 and IOS249 with AnyTitleDeleter it might help. Thanks for your help so far.

You seem to have a cios_fix ios247 version. Try installing DVDx to 247 and the Wiigator 0.1 NCE. If this works and you get long reading times, this works as it should.
But this way you need read retry fix cios instead of the ios247 version and Wiigator 0.3 ios249 instead of ios247.

PS: If you use AnyTitleDeleter, only use it for ios247 or ios249, nothing else!

Cheers Wigator 0.1 NCE worked fine. Sorry little bit puzzled there on how to get 0.3 working again. Could you just post quick simple steps? Sorry for being completly stupid with all this!

Edit: to make it sound a bit easier, "i need a backup channel(it shows on the wii menu) which boots from IOS247, because the origanal ones do not work.

Look for WiiGee's channel in the zip you can download from djtaz's signature!! It does just that..

Thanks WIIPower for the install guide. Really needed .01 just so i can play SWFU.

problem is that .3 with entryfix won't load with me while using the config described in the first post. I have to install ios249 and then .1 loader won't work anymore to use for SWFU.

It's a very weird problem.

So I've followed everything here:

uninstalled dvdx using wad manager
then uninstalled ios 249 + ios 247 with any title deleter,
and uninstalled backup loader channels with wadmanager.
then i installed cios_fix wad,from the original zip v0.1 very bottom of this page and taz's signature
then installed dvdx to ios249,
then installed Loader_Channel0.1.wad.
rebooted wii, tested 0.1 loader channel and booted patched quantum of solace pal, and it worked
. then i went on to install ios 247,
then installed WiiGeeLoaderios247-2channelsatonce.wad,
rebooted and tested 0.3 loader with 1:1 monopoly pal, and that game worked.
tested 0.1 with q.o.s. again and worked..both loaders working together..

which is actually the same as the first post. Very strange. I'm investigating

edit: used this thread and now it works like a charm.

I sent out a few PM about this, but I figured why not ask here. I just go my Wii back from repairs.
My homebrew is installed and I can already use version 3 of the backuploader. I assume the iso installer has the 249 for it to work. I want to use the Version 1 with the 247. When I try to install using app from the files Djtaz has provided. The installer comes with a error. Something like -26 file size. Did I do something for it not to work?
The orignal 249 from the verison 1 is off of my Wii.

The way he did it you dont need to install anything just run the wads

open the NFO file with wordpad

it says :

(UNINSTALL ALL PREVIOUS LOADER FILES AND ANY INSTANCES OF DVDX)

0) IF you have the newest update, get IOS16 elsewhere, install it,
and use davi92's provided "modified" wad manager for EVERY step after this.
1) Boot wad manager via the TP-hack, HBC, channel, or whatever.
2) Install wads 1 through 7, and exit the program
3) ENJOY!!!!

4) let me know if I did something really stupid,
if it is just a little stupid, YOU fix it!
I can't test THIS stuff on my system accurately.

en fait mon probleme c'est que j'ai deja installé backup launcher 0.3b il y a quelque temps mais ma fille veux absolument jouer a

family ski donc il me faut le 0.1

Sur ce j'ai juste installer le cios247 , et dvdx sur ios247 mais quand je lance le jeux patché via BL 0.1 j'ai une erreur " core dump "


Donc il faut tout desinstaller et reinstaller c'est ça

but yes its a lot harder trying to do this when its in english and your native language is french.

mais oui son essai beaucoup plus dur de faire ceci quand sa langue dedans anglaise et votre maternelle est Français.
