Hello.:)

After hours of trying,reset/power Wii on/off/Wiimote syncing i´m clueless.

I´ve reading through this excellent Guide from @Cyan:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/usb-loader-gx-saved-game-files.391425/#post-8592276
(with excitement i´ll accidentally posted that in an WiiU Thread, please sorry about that.)

- make an FULL NAND dump on the Root of the SD Card
- change the EMUNand path to the root of the SD Card in the game AND in the USBLoader settings.I´ve tried BOTH ways.
- change EMUNand save to FULL

Every time when i start the game, the Wiimote (Plus) looses the connection.I also notice that the TV format size is different - 4:3.Normal is 16:9.

I don´t ask for help for this option but the Wii memory for Game saves is full.:(

Thank you for reading and any help and advises from you.:)

I'll post it here too : you don't need to make a FULL NAND dump if you only plan to redirect Wii disc based savegames.
just set the "emuNAND Save" option to partial and it'll read/write saves on "emuNAND Save" folder, which can even be different than "emuNAND channel" folder if you need.

if you set "emuNAND save" to full, then you'll need a full NAND dump first, as it'll redirect everything (not only savegames, but also wiimote sync, settings, Mii, etc.)

Hello.:)

Thank you for your advice for set it to "partial".
My error in reasoning was to think all settings have to go the emuNAND.
And please maybe ask you: is it correct that NOT ALL games are working with this solution ?
My mistake,i´ve tried only 3-4 games then i´ll give up.

I thank you for answering in both Threads.:)

Merci pour votre aide et vos explications. Merci.

so far, we know only 2 games not working with redirected savegames :

Zelda Skyward word : the game randomly freeze at new map loading (passing through a door, loading the game, etc.) and stay on a white screen.
Metroid Prime 3 : also has random freezes at game transitions.

There are maybe more incompatible games, that's just these two are very popular and well known. other less known games don't have proper tests or report from users.

can you please give more details ? what doesn't work?

the game doesn't boot?
the game boots, but freeze at some loading screen? black screen, whitescreen, random, always at the same place?
did you try launching the game without an already present savegame ? or did you dump your savegame first? Sometime, savegame creation is the problem if the free space on the HDD partition is too big.
did you try d2x v8/v10, v10-alt? older (only on Wii)?

I'll add that game to the wiki after you provide mode info :)

thanks

thanks

OK,i´ve tried it again and now it works with "emuNAND SAVE state to PARTIAL".All ok.

Before i used "emuNAND SAVE state to FULL" and then the issue with Wiimote Plus happens.
I ve tried it with/without an FULL SD NAND dump.
The Game boots up normally but with an de-synced Wiimote Plus. And the TV format is no longer 16:9 but 4:3.

Thank you.

if you use full, you need a full NAND dump, and it'll use the setting and wiimote sync from it, not from the console anymore.
if you want to "copy" the information of your console's wiimote sync into emuNAND, usbgx has that option "copy sysconf".
it's useful if you use your same SD card on multiple different console, and you won't have to bring your own wiimote with you, or resync the new ones manually. just dump sysconf from sysNAND to emuNAND, that file contains wiimote info and some other settings.

if your emuNAND is from a clean/new modmii generated NAND, it'll be 4:3, interlace, etc.
it won't have your usual settings (wide screen, progressive, etc.) until you edit these settings yourself (in neek for example, or with sysconf dump)

Excuse my lack of knowledge about emuNand saves.
Thanks for helping me again.:)
