Hacking USB Loader GX

Hi all! I came across some plugins for USB Loader GX on Youtube "r1261" to be exact, and I can't find out how to install these. I've tried searching all over this site. Can someone please help me or direct me to the correct thread for this? Thanks!!

Hello.

The regular USBLoader GX v3.0 r1272 and older Ones are not supporting such Plug Ins.

You have to use an modified MOD Version.

First I have to say, personally I never used Plug Ins or the USBLoader Mod.

I use the Search Option from GBAtemp to see if we have such Thread before.
I am afraid I am no great Help for you in this Case.

Maybe @fledge68 can give you some Tips or Advises,he seems to know how plug Ins work on this USBLoader GX MOD.

Please have a little Patience,he will answer for sure.
Our USBLoader GX Supporter @Cyan is unfortunately not available at the Moment.

Pretty sure that's for a GX mod, IDR vanilla GX ever supporting plugins.

yes a made it the plugin mod. but its r1262. usb loader gx is r1272 now. I've wanted to update to r1272 but havent had time. barely enough time for my main project wiiflow lite.

I never thought it would be so hard to keep up with Wii modding going into 2020, but here we are haha!

I've got r1272 with plugin support and parental controls working. I'll probably push the changes to my GitHub when I've got more time.

Switching between plugins and launching games does works with USB Loader GX, but you can tell that addon support was tagged on. Like it doesn't integrate with a lot of the loaders options, it doesn't cache anything and it feels very incomplete when compared to WiiFlow Lite. So personally I'd recommend WiiFlow Lite if you're going to use plugins as it'll give you a much more polished experience.

I understand that some people would rather stick with what they're familiar with, so I could publish an updated version of the USB Loader GX plugin mod if it's in demand. I don't plan on adding any more features to it though.

Well I was initially going towards wiiflow lite... but I have everything almost perfectly set up in USB Loader GX and don't want to go through all of that again in wiiflow lite (at least for now). If I install r1262, will it be easy to update to 1272 once you release it? One more somewhat on-topic question. How do I get my wiiware/VC games (emunands?) to show up and playable through USB Loader GX, like what folder do I create, do I copy the wiiware/VC games wads to sd or HD, etc?
