Thank you very much, I'll try this!
@lordelan I've tried to take that above mentioned post from when I first did it and make it a bit simpler to show what worked without going through all the other stuff that didn't. Hopefully this helps you and maybe others:
*The Issue: [SOLVED] How can I use my 8TB (or larger) GTP WD HDD on my Wii as one full drive without partioning it into two or more smaller drives?
[SOLVED]
--This includes converting the GPT partition to MBR.
--Then I will also need to format the entire drive as FAT32.
--2019-05-15 Update: Also now working is my WD 4TB Passport & my WD 10TB MyBook. Additional steps for these updated below.
--2020-05-28 Update: My current go-to drive is the WD 4TB Passport with a Y-Cable. 99% of the Wii games and 100% of GameCube games will fit onto a 4TB hard drive. I used only one version of a game if multiples were available to get them all onto the 4TB drive and when I ran out of room I deleted most singing games to make room for the rest of the games to fit (no one wants to hear me sing, not even myself, so those were an easy choice to delete as needed).
--2020-10-28 Update: My New current go-to drive is the WD 5TB Black Game Drive.
100% of the US Wii & GameCube titles fit on it along with their differing versions as well as the PAL titles that were not released in the US and also a lot of JA titles (even though I can not understand most of them) with room to spare.
My Wii: Original (not a Wii U)
My Drives: External Western Digital USB3.0

1-Using EaseUS Partition Master I checked the stock 8TB drive info: NTFS / 512bp sector / 4096bp cluster / GPT
---Link:
http://www.easeus.com/partition-manager/epm-free.html
---
**Also,
very important, if there are any other partitions showing, i.e. unallocated or hidden or marked with an ASTERIX or ??,
merge any and all into the main partition so there is just one partition showing.
2a-Edit: Change GPT drive to MBR (if it's 2TB or less)
---You can use the PAID version or EaseUS Partition Master, see the 3rd picture below in item 9
---My free version did not have this option but my paid version does since v12 and up
---Changing my WD drives above 2TB would not work using this, it has the 2TB conversion limit, so I have had to go with step 2b
2b-Change the drive partition table from GPT drive to MBR (if it's larger than 2TB): Using WD Quick Format
---Note: Not sure if this will work on a hard drive that's not made by Western Digital, it scans for compatible drives automatically, you might have to search your drive makers tools for something similar
---WD Quick Format Link:
http://support.wdc.com/KnowledgeBase/answer.aspx?ID=3868
---Used to convert a larger than 2TB HDD to be Windows XP compatible
---This is the important part: In doing this conversion it will format the drive to one single NTFS partition (however large the drive is) and in the process changes the partition table from GPT to MBR
---I'm on Windows 10, maybe it makes a difference what OS you arer on when you run it
---It never gave me the option for XP Compatible like the instruction said, no options at all, so I just pressed FORMAT DRIVE and it worked on my 8TB MyBook
---
Update: Using this on my 4TB Passport & 5TB P-10 Black Game Drive I received an error about no recognizable file system on the drive, just clicked ok and let the format finish. Took several minutes but it did finish so give it time
---This is important: Without using WD Quick Format on my 8TB (or 4TB) first, FAT32GUI will throw an error and not allow the drive to be formatted
3-Loading the 8TB drive under EaseUS Partition Master showed it is now NTFS / 4096bp sector / 4096bp cluster / MBR
---While in EaseUS Partition Master I set the drive as PRIMARY and ACTIVE. Some have said this is not necessary, but I don't think it hurts anything to have it this way
---My version of EaseUS would not let me format the drive as FAT32 with 32k or 64k, nothing lower than 128k was an option
4a-Using FAT32 GUI Formatter I formatted it to 64k clusters: Gives me the full 8TB to play with
---32-bit Link:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!Akr7GOOfRVh8g7knYUDd6gLYFAc50A?e=L3aAxX
---64-bit Link:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!Akr7GOOfRVh8gvBWQvn3BwTnTDyE-w?e=1XJ2eA
---
If using a 4TB drive you'll want to choose 32k clusters (Allocation Unit Size: 32768)
---If using a 5TB to 8TB drive with 32k clusters, only 4TB of it will show up and be usable
---
So for a 5TB to 8TB HDD you'll need to
choose 64k clusters to get the entire drive to show up (Allocation Unit Size: 65536)
4b-
Edit 2019/05/14: I was able to get a 10TB Western digital MyBook to work. Using the steps above worked until formatting it with FAT32GUI Formatter
---Formatting the 10TB with FAT32GIU Formatter with 64k clusters gave me some conflicting information
---Windows 10 showed the drive as 1.09TB but EaseUS Partition Master showed the correct 10TB drive information
---I didn't want to take the chance using a drive that wasn't showing up properly so I reformatted it to FAT32 using EaseUS Partion Master with 256k clusters, the only size offered by my version
---Bottom line, it's working. I can play Wii & GameCube's off it using all 3 backup loaders: Cfg USB Loader, USBLoaderGX & WiiFlow Lite
---
For a 10TB HDD you'll want to choose the 256k cluster size.
5-Using EaseUS Partition Master to check the 8TB drive info: It's shows as MBR and under properties some information I don't claim to understand
---See 1st picture below in item 9
6-Drive is now one single 8TB partition: FAT32 / 4096bp sector / 65536bp (64k) cluster / MBR / Set as ACTIVE & PRIMARY
---See 2nd picture below in item 9
7-Enjoying the use of the 8TB HDD to play Wii & GC using:
