Would it be possible to make an option to start game/channel using Maxternal's Neek2o plugin - the one with return to real nand?
http://gbatemp.net/threads/neek2o.313314/page-62#post-4597775

Also I have a problem: I have a working neek2o emunand, I can see channel banners in system menu in neek2o and in wiiflow, but I cannot see them in USBLoaderGX, neither in grid view nor in the window before starting the game. I found a workarround by viewing all channels in wiiflow and then using the same cache folder.
ISO games banners show as they should. File system is FAT32
Anybody has any suggestion?

The code to run a emuNAND title with Neek2o is actually fairly simple. Here's where I had a little conversation with OverJoy about how to to do it:
http://gbatemp.net/threads/neek2o.313314/page-61#post-4512796

and if you need an example, the plugin is open sourced
http://www.mediafire.com/?a20do8hsz9adoj2
for reference to what the code is doing...and how it's interpreting each argument :
http://gbatemp.net/threads/wiiflow-an-open-source-gui-usb-loader.204106/page-579#post-4554170

although plugin support wouldn't be a bad thing it would probably be easier to just include the option in GX itself

ATTENTION:
USB Loader GX Version 3.0 introduces a new auto-update mechanism which is not compatible with old versions. (The old host is offline)
If you are still using an old version of USB Loader GX, you need to update manually.
Download the latest version or use our easy installer for Windows available on our website.
You can also check how to install or update manually on our Wiki tutorial.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

New:
  • Added a new Layout: Channel grid mode! Channel grid displays games as channels and plays banner animations like the real Wii System Menu.
Channel grid mode and banner animation requires AHBPROT flags to load resource files directly from your Wii.
If you use an old HBC you should use our latest forwarder or update the HBC otherwise you wont have that support.
  • Added Channel launching from Emulated NAND. (big thanks to TriiForce guys and Miigotu)
  • Added GameCube games launching from SD Card through Dios Mios Lite (DML). (thanks to G0dLiKe, crediar, all DML devs and FIX94)
    Check DML website
  • Added direct install/uninstall of WAD files to the Emulated NAND Channel path in the features settings menu.
  • Added a new icon in the toolbar to select the origin of the titles: Wii games, Channels from Wii, Channels from EmuNand, GameCube games.
  • Added the possibility to boot USB Loader GX without an HDD connected (It will fall back to "Channel from Wii" title's origin).
  • Added an option to choose which Game Window mode to use between the old "Rotating Disc" or the new "Banner Animation".
  • Added the favorite level setting to the game settings since it is no longer displayed when using "Banner Animation" game window mode.
  • Added an option to adjust the screen size for overscan TVs (Use negative values to shrink the display).
  • Added display of game's size from Wii disc games on the game window prompt (Rotating disc mode only).
  • Added a button in the search window to switch between "Beginning" and "Content" search methods.
  • Added auto-complete function to the search window.
  • Added a new GUI numpad for entering numbers.
  • Added setting for tooltip delay time.
  • Added resize of widescreen screenshots to 768px width.
  • Added cover download for the currently inserted disc.
  • Added delete of full cover on art work uninstall and game uninstall.
  • Added a parental control option to block priiloader override on return to system menu.

  • Restructured game's settings for different types of games (Wii/GC/Channels).
  • Added auto position of progress window messages in vertical direction depending of how many are used at the same time.
  • If "Titles from GameTDB" is not enabled the title will be read from the folder name if possible or from the game disc header.

  • Settings title, keyboard text and key color can be changed by themes now.

    4. configpath/gamepath/ (slow loading speed)
      Accepted game's filenames: title.iso, title.gcm, GAMEID6.iso, GAMEID6.gcm

Unfortunately, from posts he's made elsewhere he's having problems with a black screen BEFORE the "laoding..." message (presumably even before the white wiimote warning screens) and changing to a IOS57 base cIOS hasn't helped.

I can only guess it has something to do with some video/return to/cheat/language/etc patch that he has turned on that's not compatible with the game.

He seems have installed IOS250 with base 57, he could give a shot anyway. But you're right the infamous BLOPS IOS problem is after the loading screen.

Quick question:
I never had any problem with GX or DM, but for haven't black screen using GC titles I set "DML Progressive Patch" -> ON.
(If with WiiFlow I use default settings works good)

I must set this because I use component cable and Wii is set to HDTV ?

Obviously, is only an information.

Try updating to the latest version of DM (v2.8) that's SUPPOSED to be fixed in that version.
(and WiiFlow's default is to have the video mode NOT be progressive ... if you change it to 480p does it break too?)

I have already 2.8 (sorry I haven't said that).

With wiiflow works good also if I change video mode (Game, PAL 480p).
With GX only if I set "DML Progressive Patch" -> ON (all the other to default value)

This is for all PAL gamecube games ( I haven't tried NTSC games, but if an be useful I'll try)

No, there's at least the game Tintin that can ONLY be played by xNEEK+DI and, possibly, Dragon Quest X. There may be others, too, that can't be played.

As for the other games, playing Wii games is pretty much the main purpose of a USB Loader. You can play off of USB or a game disk but for the easiest of those (game disk) the answer would be just put ANY wii game disk in and hit the disk button at the top.

(I think I'm not understanding the question ... Did you want someone to post a full tutorial and guide on how to use it or was there some specific part of how to use it that you didn't understand?)

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
