Worked for me - WiiPlay Backup, dumped it on my second Wii, on *funny* R4 USB SD Card Reader + 2GB Kingston SD Card, lol [/funny] (I don't have anything better. Yet!

) Booted it, worked fine. Wiisports froze on the dumping though. System menu version 4.0.

Now I have backups, pirated VC and that's all for free

I spent a bit of time trying to get a 700GB drive to work - no luck.

Tried an old USB flash drive - success!

Tried another 32GB hard drive in a different enclosure, it works as well.

Quick question- does this loader make games run at full speed or is there some reason why they'd still run at 3x DISC speed?

They run as fast as your drive can stream, basically. So actually faster than 6x ...

Don't know if there already is a Windows app.. Of if this is already said somewhere in the topic..
But you could always try to use this: http://cygwin.com/ when the source is avaible..
Or you could install VMware, install Linux in it, and use the Linux application in the Virtual Session..
(But these 2 option are probably just for people, who kinda have advanced knowledge in Computers, and they may have already figured this out)..
Ah well, good luck?!

(or, instead of using VMware, you could use this: http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/usb-qemu.html)

Oh good! So I guess that's basically all the problems with backups solved then right?

Anybody got games that were patched to IOS249 for backuplauncher to work?
Specifically metroid wiimake.

Works using Backuplauncher patched to IOS249 but not on UsbLoader........even tried not patched it just freezes.

NOTE: When it's patched to IOS249 it just does what it used to do on BUL when it wasn't patched.........IE go green then restart wii.

I can't even get cIOS Rev.9 installed, I get downloading content #00... ERROR! (ret = -1017)
I'm on 3.2E

help?

It seems like Metroid Prime Wiimake JPN doesn't like the English patch. I've installed it patched to IOS249 and to IOS10 and it didn't work either way. Anyone else have luck with the game?
