Hacking Question Updating Switch Rev. 1 from 8.1.0 (0.9.2 AMS) to latest version?

Hello,

I just ask because im not sure, i read already some times that if you update to such a late revision from an really early could cause in to a brick..

So, i have a Day 1 Switch with 8.1.0 (0.9.2 AMS installed) and i want to install the latest AMS version to it.

Can i directly overwrite AMS on the SD Card? (currently: atmosphere-0.17.1-master-49f07b06+hbl-2.4.0+hbmenu-3.4.0.zip)

Download the latest Hekate put it on the SD / PC to inject the Payload: (currently: hekate_ctcaer_5.5.3_Nyx_0.9.9.zip)

BUT, when i did this.. can i update then from 8.0.1 to 11.0.1 with ChoiDujourNX or as far as i know there is also a new Application "Daybreak" available (never used it...).

Would be nice if you could give me a small push, as im not sure if its from such a early version the correct way.

You can update AMS/Hekate and check everything works fine.
Then you can update your FW. Not sure if 8.1.0 to 11.0.1 can cause issue.
I'd use Daybreak.

ChoiDujourNX is obsolete, just use Daybreak that comes with the latest atmoshpere
