Hacking Updated 3DS firmware before update Acekard 2i

I had recently updated my 3DS to the latest firmware, 4.0.0.7u without knowing that I should update my 3DS firmware prior to doing so. Since then I always got an error message prompting me to power off the console. So far what I did was put all the firmware update file and the latest AKAIO in the microSD. The impulse of the update is probably because last time I managed to update my 3DS firmware without having the need to update my Acekard.

Is there any other way to update the Acekard firmware using the latest firmware without the need to use any other 3DS/NDS with lower firmware?

Maybe you can try sending it back to Acekard and ask them to update. Ask Acekard support before sending it in. Or just borrow a DS from a friend.
