For many, Bluepoint Games' remake of FromSoftware's Demon's Souls is certain to be an exclusive PlayStation 5 system-seller right out of the gate. Or rather, that was what was thought to be the case. In a shocking turn of events, the end of today's official Demon's Souls trailer, shown at the PlayStation Showcase event, featured a tagline denoting that the game will not be available on other consoles for a limited time, and will also be available on PC. That means it's incredibly likely that we'll see Demon's Souls not only release on PC, but also on the Xbox Series X, once the exclusivity period has expired. Another important tidbit revealed was that Demon's Souls will also be a launch title for the PlayStation 5, which has been given a release date of November 12th, for the United States, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, and New Zealand.

UPDATE: Following the end of the conference, Sony pulled the trailer from its channel. Here is the original image from the video. Whether this means the text below is true or not is now unconfirmed.

I'd eat my hat if this isn't a mistake. Sony has refused entirely to let demons souls go anywhere but ps3 until now and I sure as hell don't think that's going to change. Sony has been getting worse, not better on that front over the years.

Sweet I was tempted to buy a PS5 just for this but I'm a PC Gamer..... This has just made my day..... I will get a ps5 in a year or two when it's cheap or hacked or both... I'm sure it will be good but never as good as my pc... And it sure looks ugly af... But the exclusives will be worth it

I never played it but remember when it came out, I was thinking it's a bit too recent to remake - but it did come out in 2009.
Time flies.
Although a 10 year old game still seems strange to get true remake, rather than a remaster. It must mean the game was great I guess.
