It's not permanent for sure. I called Nintendo CS Tuesday morning, my ban was on Monday night, they said it was temporary. I got this same 002-0102 ban in December 2016, temporary, 30 days.

Likely permanent. I'm holding out hope someone will find an effective way to bypass it since b9s apparently gives us far greater control.
Current methods for getting around bans aren't ideal.

I've been bugged with the ban. Haven't connected online in any games since sunday or monday. All the games ive unofficially downloaded are games i lost when my old 3ds broke. I'm not gonna freak out or anything since a fix is just around the corner.

Funny enough in dutch it says, that it is either caused by your 3ds or an aplication on it you use and they ask you to contact them, and that the error code is a general one.

To be precise, they said that they were not going to answer any request to remove the ban, not the ban itself. The previous big banwave from a few months ago was temporary, right? Bans were lifted a few days afterwards, with the exact same error code.

Its up on their site, it's a permanent thing.

Then again we have full control of the console, but sadly no control over the online services, so there should be a way to circumvent it

Yeah, but they've since changed the reason for handing out this ban on their support website. I fear this isn't the same as your December ban, even with the same error code.

It's my first ban of any console. lol It's a bit annoying but I rarely play online so it's not really going to affect me too much. I probably wouldn't have even noticed if I didn't decide to check the recommended courses in Mario Maker.

Exactly, if having the bootrom allows us to sign our own freaking Firmware and it be accepted as "legit" there is absolutely no reason why the same can't be done with device certs like LFCS, moveable.sed, nnidsave.bin etc.....

Their site says if you request an unbanning, you'll be denied. It doesn't say it's permanent.

Hi, do you know if this problem is related to boot9strap?
Are old methods (Luma + Emunand or Luma + A9LH) also recognizable by Nintendo?

i mean i know nintendo did a banwave when pokemon sun and moon were released and you could go over it by switching the serial number

Looks like your all doomed turning off the wifi now won't do anything if you have went online ever with the console its just a matter of time before it gets banned

People with A9LH and MenuHax have also reported bans.
