Uncovered site data hints at Final Fantasy XV PC release

Looks like PC gamers might be in for a big surprise. A website for next month's Final Fantasy XV's live event, Final Fantasy XV Uncovered, has some interesting bits of data in it's source code. In the code, of course, are links to the Sqaure Enix's site, PSN store, Xbox store, and most interestingly, a link to Steam's storefront, as well as something for Windows 10. Square Enix has been back-porting older titles to PC lately, so it seems fitting that their latest release would also hit the PC platform. FFXV Uncovered will be happening on March 30th, so keep an eye out for more details.

Cool I guess. Looking at the snippet I can't help but recall other famous FF characters from other titles in the series with very similar characteristics. Seems they really have the formula down for remakes new entries in the series.

If I'm not mistaken the PC port for FF13-3 was quite okay so I'm looking forward to see how this one turns out.
Still gonna play it safe this time and pick it up on Console.

They gave us a release date FOR the release date (for a game that was originally announced in 2006 as Final Fantasy Versus 13) and act like this is a good thing? What is this world coming to...

There were many reason for the delay mostly studio dissolving and the engine used kept changing. I'm happy we are getting it at last and the wait seems to be very much worth it.

I just hope that it doesn't suffer from tunnel syndrome like a lot of the more recent non-MMO entries have had. I don't necessarily need a world map in my RPGs, but wide open areas are always appreciated.

The port was pretty much guaranteed when you take into account squares history of porting games especially with the FF series and the fact that they're openly stated various times they have a 'working PC build' as if not to make it any clearer. I understand wanting official confirmation but it's just a question of when that'll happen and how long Microsoft and Sony paid for timed exclusivity or weather or not square is actually doing it out of their own volition for consoles honorary sake or if they simply want two times the press and exposure for the game which they'll very much get by announcing a PC port. Don't worry PC friends, you're getting the game one way or another and what we should be worrying about is their '2016' release window that could very well mean December 2016. I want an official release date right now! I am bored with my current games 2bh.

The more games get simultaneous PC releases, the better. FF13 was kinda garbage, though, so hopefully this one has some significant differences.

Also hope to see some female lead characters, that's quite the boy band sausage-fest in that screenshot.

Or maybe they will offer a gender swap DLC. hahaha

This time around S-E used the PC build to false advertise how the game would have looked on PS4. So there's high chances the PC version will look like the original promo material. Also, there's the sub-20 fps thing. Ew.

I'm so glad its coming to pc, it opens up the opportunity for mods. If the game is a hit then I'm sure people will invest time making something interesting.

Also I've always had a low for farming exp and items, don't have time for that nowadays (could not play fallout 4 without the debug command), I like the ability to use cheats to get the tedious stuff out of the way so I can focus on the main key selling points of the game.

I got the demo on the ps4 (for buying Final Fantasy Type 0 HD) and I can say that I don't think this is going to suffer from "tunnel syndrome". I played the demo for about 15ish hours and still didn't finish it. And this was all contained in one giant map. Now I can't say anything about the areas before/after the demo, but if they're anything like the demo that you don't need to worry.

If this turns out to be the case for Kingdom Hearts as well (there's still no indication that it will get a PC release) then I bought my PS4 for nothing. It was basically going to be a FF/KH machine.

My case aside, this is pretty awesome news!
