Square Enix has today released a demo for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox. This free demo lets players experience Chapters 1 and 2 of the full game. Players can carry their progress into the full game when it launches in June.

In addition, pre-orders for the game are now available and rewards players with the following bonuses:

Digital Edition:
- Standard - Includes the Magic Pot Summoning Materia, Accessory: Reclaimant Choker, Armor: Orchid Bracelet, digital artbook and mini-soundtrack.
- Digital Deluxe Edition - Includes the Standard edition bonuses, plus the Moogle Trio Summoning Materia, Posh Chocobo Summoning Materia, Armor: Shinra Bangle Mk. II and Armor: Midgar Bangle Mk. II.

Physical Edition: Those who pre-order the physical Nintendo Switch 2 edition of FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH will receive one Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY Zack Fair card featuring variant art by Tetsuya Nomura, while supplies last.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth releases on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC with Xbox Play Anywhere support this June 3rd.

If you're in no rush to play it, just wait until you get the Switch 2 and see how the demo runs for yourself. I know Remake was supposedly a really good port on Switch 2 at least.
