Hardware umm wtf is wrong with my 3ds

Yeah umm well i need to ask this because of two things:
1.When wiping the data on cubic ninja if i hold the l and r buttons it fades both screens and goes back to the title screen even if i press Y and X buttons first and my sd card slot wont read any card i put in it meaning it knows one is in there that works (use sd cards from my 2ds that work) but simply wont use it so can anyone tell me why it is doing this??? Also it is an old 3ds with 9.9.0 firmware from the U.S.

It sounds like ALOT of things are wrong with it.
Might want to call up Nintendo and send it in for repairs, or just get a new 2ds for $99.99 at Wallmart.

Because he could try i did not mean to ask what is wrong but rather ask for advice on how i could troubleshoot it before i send it to (like i said before...)

Sounds like you have a really crappy SD Card.

Is it possible your start and select buttons are stuck? Because L+R+Start+Select is a common soft reset hotkey in many games, so it would explain why the game resets when you press L and R.
As for the SD card issue, it's most likely the slot itself that's broken, maybe the pins inside the slot got bent somehow.

No, he said it was a super fast SD that gave him super fast speeds in mGBA on a non-kernel hacked o3DS. Lol.

To test the SD card, try H2testw. Also try a different SD card in the 3DS. Beyond that replace the card slot. Also if you're trying to summon someone to thread, put an "at" symbol in front of their screen name like this @#3dBRAT .

and there was me thinking that you just have to type their name in a huge font, the bigger the font the more summoned they find themselves

You can, by holding L+R+X+Y on the Main Menu.
