I can launch discs via Backup Launcher and the USB loader can rip discs, but the Disc Channel only works with originals now.
So I tried reinstalling IOS60 using the IOS60 updater and it corrupted my Wii System Menu so it was semi-bricked and wouldn't restart. After doing a little research, it turns out that this happens when you install IOS60 AFTER preloader, but thankfully, since I had preloader installed (originally installed in the proper order AFTER IOS60), I was able to boot in HBC and start over at the beginning of the guide, however, I ran into a few problems.
I successfully re-ran cIOS38_rev13-Installer and installed IOS249.
IOS Downgrader v1 did NOT work though. When I pressed A to continue, it simply told me it was restarting my Wii, and then it restarted. I tried this multple times, making sure to press A instead of B, but it always restarted. IOS Downgrader v1 worked for me originally when I originally successfully upgraded to System Menu 4.0, so I decided to skip the step.
Then I successfully ran cIOS Downgrader v1.2 and re-downgraded to System Menu 3.2. I decided to try a burned backup in the System Menu 3.2 Disc Channel, which always worked before because I have a modchip. But nope, backups don't work in 3.2 Disc Channel now either.
I decided to just go ahead and re-upgrade to System Menu 4.0, which worked. Then I re-re-installed IOS60 and it worked again. Then I re-installed preloader.
So now I'm right back where I started, but I still cannot play backups on my modchipped Wii from the Disc Channel in any System Menu apparently. Is it possible that whatever is causing backups to not work in the Disc Channel also prevented IOS Downgrader v1 from working?
I am reluctant to install cioscorp, but even if I wanted to, I can't seem to find "CIOS60BF.wad" because whenever I google "CIOS60HK.zip" as instructed, all I find are sites that are telling me to google "CIOS60HK.zip"
