does the update change the save structure, wanna use this but i ended up downloading the patch so whoops
Not sure, havent had time to download and test yet
Is there any risk of using this with my official copy of Smash, on my non-hacked switch?
cant say for sure but editing gold, unlocked characters... etc shouldnt trigger a ban. It is not online cheating so it should be fine (try not to put very high values on stuff anyway, just to be sure)

EDIT: Did some quick tests and everything appears to be working in version 1.1.0 of the game

Thanks in advance!

That should only happen if a savefile hasnt been opened.
Do the values of your stuff appear when opening your save? (each box getting filled with whatever you had ingame)

Click the Open File button at the top and select the savefile you dumped with Checkpoint or your preferred savefile manager.
You will notice that the boxes fill up with some data that corresponds to your save, from there just edit the values as you like and click the checkmark (✓) button at the side of each box to confirm and apply the value.
Note that with the other buttons and Character Menu the value gets applied instantly.
Once you are finished editing, click the Save File button at the bottom and save it wherever you like to import it to your switch afterwards with your preferred save manager

Awesome! Thank you so much! I hate to ask since you've done so much on this already, but is there a way to add all Spirit Spheres for the Skill Tree in WoL as well?

if you use that save editor to unlock content , in game history , all unlock content display is record in the same time , must be illegal values , legitimate you only modify gold/sp/item play yourself

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
