Is this definately the case? Updates are still blocked even if Tubehax is down? Why would that be?Even when the tubehax dns is down, it still prevents updates. I don't know exactly how it works, but I read a thread a while back and it said that the tubehax dns still blocked updates even when it was down. People marveled at it.

If you put tubehax DNS as both DNS on your systems when it's down your console won't connect to any site at all. Problem is that you're relying the safety to a 3rd party that may restore access to Nintendo's severs.
The totals risks of not having A9HL is greater than having it. People need to be logical.True, but many people still prefer menuhax because they're paranoid of a brick from A9LH. If an update gets through and they do manage to update, their menuhax is gone.
TrueThere are people that don"t use CFW and use TubeHax to prevent updates and lose Homebrew Launcher access.
