Hacking Trying to update to Preloader 0.30, but it's stuck

I was accessing Preloader 0.29, and then I found an "Update" button on the screen to update to 0.30. I clicked it and the "downloading changelog..." screen is taking forever. Is it safe to shut down my Wii and cancel the update?

yes, the update feature on .29 does not work.
