Seems strange.

The payload pushing code hasn`t been altered at all.

I`d check your joins one more time. I have a custom made "dongle" on breadboard and I cannot reproduce it.

Puzzled I am.

Sorry if I dont make sense.

And I noticed that plugging it in doesnt wake the dongle up most of times.

It sounds like a bad connection to me rather than a coding mistake.

I haven`t changed any payload pushing code at all. The USB port is no longer disabled in sleep in dongles.

It is working every time here. Waking up.

Very puzzling indeed sir.

Thanks for help. I will check my connections again.

This should rule it out.
Disable your chip with this UF2. Bear in mind SWITCHBOOT will still drop the straps.

Backup present UF2 as this wipes everything on the chip and disables it. Apart from SWITCHBOOT.

Then try TegraRCMsmash

I disabled it with the uf2 provided and I now I can inyect payload using usb.

I have tried diferent hekate versions, reinx, atmosphere payloads and all of them work flawlessly. I inyected sxos payload.bin and it inyects correctly and shows the sxos screen but it stops and doesn't show the nintendo logo, the screen backlight it's on but the screen is black. It is the same payload.bin that is on the sd and works when the chip inyects it, but I don't know why inyecting it using tegrarcm via USB doesn't start sxos.

It seems that the chip it's interfereing in some way with usb inyection.

The only thing it could possibly possibly be, is the USB logic chip that is fitted to the RCMx86.

It isnt really necessary unless you are using serial. Very real possibility that could be interfering with it. I have wrote some code but I`ll upload tomorrow now. Getting late here. Hopefully should negate it.

This is why the RCMX86 is slower at injecting than the other SAMD boards.

Anyway... Off-topic...

To whoever may be interested, I`ve made a screenshot feature for Hekate...

Example screenies here...

Do I put the feature in 0.9.9r2? Just a hold of both vol buttons. Would it be used?

I'm testing my console and I don't have any issue with usb inject payload from tregraRCM_gui... same modchip RCM-X86.

@luzifers, have you checked your diagram?

I'm recently having trouble getting the SWITCHBOOT drive to show up. (trinket M0 modchip fitted into switch)
I've already flashed some UF2's since it's fitted:
- an update to hekate
- a change of switchboot bootloader + simple UF2 0.9.8r3
- yesterday had trouble but finally got that switchboot drive to show up after many tries to flash 0.9.9r1 (and I have no idea why/how but my Switch froze after that, maybe just a coincidence)
Basically I double press reset (with a pause between the two presses) then I connect to my PC.
By using tools like USBView I can see that something gets connected to my PC but no drive shows up (tested different ports), I get the "can't charge" thingy from HOS and when checking LEDs I can see one red still and another red blinking.

As for the screenshot feature in hekate, I'd say get it in if users can easily toggle it on/off.

Hmmm... Sounds like a loose / dry joint to me.

Please keep me updated with your findings.

Anyway... Off-topic,

Attached is a bin file.

My take on Hekate with screenshot feature.
Wondered if someone would be so good as to give it a launch with TegraRCMsmash or rename to "payload.bin"

To use screenshot, on any screen you want to shoot, hold power button and touch vol+. Then let go.

You will see the screen turn upside down, then the right way again. Screenshot should be saved in sd root /Screenshots folder.

Someone give it a look and tell me if I should include in next release!

Cheers Matty

But the screenshot feature is only under hekate? Can you take screenshots under horizon?

There will be if I can get a dump of the bootloader or have someone assist me testing.

I've had similar recently, it was a loose ground wire, but I still had issues getting it to show up too, I found if you press the reset button once then press it twice as in a double press, it will then show up, also found that any smart monitoring software or AV can interfere too

Tried Hekate with screenshot feature. Toggled to Mode 3 Argon NX and named the Payload 4 with Trinket M0. Held power button and touch vol+.
I find the screenshot feature pretty cool ! It's always good to have a bmp instead of a binary for convenience to my opinion.

BTW Simple UF2 v0.9.9r1-CTCaer mod v4.8 rocks ! Display is much more friendly and it seems UF2 to start faster to my point of view ;)

However i don't know if it's a normal behaviour but Hekate's options changes aren't stored at the next reboot.
For instance Backlight settings.

About the latter i don't wanna be off topic but would it be possible to link Hekate's backlight settings to DotStar Brightness on Adafruit boards ?

thanks for this update i have try it and i like the new Simple UF2

BTW i use the OLD 3 Methode and i will change to the newst methode with Volume + Strap who can make it for me? :D

I have a quick question.. I have it installed but due to cooling mods, the trinket button is not accessible with a back press, which is fine as I was going to install a Reed switch for this purpose, but my question is, can I keep the integrated button and just use the RST pad (and ground of course) ?

I'm unfortunately only getting it in a little bit so just doing my homework first.

Thanks!
