Just went through a bunch of my WiiWare games, which I know all work fine when installed to real NAND, here are my findings.

Code:
Strong Bad Episode 1 - Homestar Ruiner - NOT WORKING (Green Screen)
Strong Bad Episode 2 - Strongbadia The Free - NOT WORKING (Green Screen)
Strong Bad Episode 4 - Dangeresque 3 - NOT WORKING (Green Screen)
Strong Bad Episode 3 - Baddest Of The Bands - NOT WORKING (Green Screen)
Strong Bad Episode 5 - 8-Bit Is Enough - NOT WORKING (Green Screen)
Bit Trip Beat - NOT WORKING (Freezes after 'Turn Wiimote Sideways')
Bit Trip Core - NOT WORKING (Freezes after 'Turn Wiimote Sideways')
Lost Winds - WOTM - NOT WORKING (Freezes after Warning Screen)
Lost Winds - NOT WORKING (Freezes when selecting save file)

Bomberman Blast - WORKS
Excitebike World Rally - WORKS
LIT - WORKS
Mega Man 9 - WORKS (Name changed to -'! 0!. ?)
Toki Tori - WORKS
Final Fantasy - My Life As A King - WORKS

Is there some kinda compatability list so I can compare this to what other people have found out?
Thanks

*Edit* More info: PAL 4.2e cIOS rev14, NAND dumped by Simple FS Dumper on USB, WADs installed by ShowMiiWads.

Green Screen doesn't mean it's not working
wink.gif

Got the problem with Megaman9.
During the boot process I will get a green screen.
But if am waiting some minutes the green screen disappear and the game will start.

Funny thing.
I tested the same dump on another usb drive (stick with 1 GB) and the game is starting immediately.

Ah, that is funny actually, cos I remember reading that somewhere else, so when my MegaMan 9 went to a green screen, I waited for maybe 15 seconds or so, and it loaded. I deliberately left one of the Strong Bad episodes on the green screen whilst I went and made a cup of tea, maybe 3 or 4 minutes, and it still hadn't loaded.
I'll leave it on green screen whilst I eat my dinner and see how long it takes

There are lots of patched wads of these going about, get an unpatched version and they should work.

Does anyone know a scene release group that only does proper wads ? oneup ?
Is there a DAT to check the crc to make sure wads are propers ?

I noticed the nuked releases, so I grabbed the 'proper' ones by the group SunShine:
Strong_Bad_Episode_1_PAL_PROPER_WiiWare_Wii-SUNSHiNE

Been on a green screen since my last post now

What's the result with TriiForce and real nand on these games?

OK, Just installed the same Strong Bad Episode 1 WAD with WAD Manager 1.5 to real NAND, plays fine from it's actual channel on the Sys Menu.
Using real-NAND in Triiforce, it also loads perfectly.
I didn't notice anything different in the code whilst it was booting, but it went pretty quick so I couldn't be sure.

So it's either missing files on your device or a problem of the nand emu(cIOS). You can look at the title folder with fstoolbox and compare with the files on sd card, mabye there are characters used for filenames that are not FAT compatible.

That makes total sense. I'll bump this thread with my findings shortly

I think when the main content (0000000a.app) gets extracted it wants to create a folder named "C:\Telltale\Projects\Homestar101\Pack" (not 4 folders just one with the hole name) which isn't FAT compatible. That's why Strong Bad and Monkey Island don't work with TriiForce, but it's a cIOS issue.

Hi WiiPower
smile.gif
! ...

In previous releases, I said this:
wichoxp said:
I'm having many issues with the latest beta 8, beta 8b and beta 8c versions
wacko.gif
...
Those issues don't happen in beta 7 version:

- Doc's Punch-Out!!:
--- Reading TMD failed -106... .DOL loading failed...
- Contra Rebirth:
--- Out of memory... Decompression failed... .DOL loading failed...
- Dr. Mario Online Rx:
--- Out of memory... Decompression failed... .DOL loading failed...
- MAPPY:
--- Out of memory... Decompression failed... .DOL loading failed...
- Megaman 9:
--- Out of memory... Decompression failed... .DOL loading failed...
Well, I already tested your latest revision (r74) from google code and now all the games worked flawlessly
biggrin.gif
!

Even I tried Castlevania Rebirth (JAP) and it works fine
wink.gif
!

Just take notice on prevaling issues:
- Mario Kart 64: Freezes up at exit (it also happens in previous versions).
- Adventure Island Beginning: very slow data transfer (happened in previous versions).
- Online gaming feature, if possible.

Triiforce r74 tested under latest cIOS38 rev15. Emulated through USB-NAND.

See ya!

Tested the newest release (r74).
Seems to be fine.

The only game which is not working is Lost Winds (PAL).
It starts, you can see the Frontier Logo and then, blackscreen. -.-
Real Nand is working (Just some secs a blackscreen)

And the title of Megaman9 is broken (which is like --?---,..-).
wink.gif

Edit:
Okay tested again, and LostW doesn't work (starts irregularly and instable). The real nand is working correctly.
Sometimes it will hang on a blackscreen after the frontier logo, sometimes the game will run (But the savestates are gone and during a start a loud noise appear :wtf:), sometimes the first sound of the main menu appear (during a blackscreen) and it hung up and sometimes I will get the error "main dol not found".
