Just got Tranformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. When I put it in. I noticed the Disc Channel says "Wii System Update". I was wondering if anyone knew what this was about. I do not have Wii Connect24 enabled. So is there an update included with this game?? I did not click on the disc channel so I dont know what it would have done. As we speak I am loading it on my hard drive with USB Loader GX. Curious to see if it plays.... Anyone else had any experience with this?

i rented the game from Blockbuster and with my softmod/modchip i bypassed updates from the game and my game ran perfectly. so if you have the ability to avoid updates from disk via preloader or modchip i would activate it to avoid this again when a new game comes out. Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.
The issue is DRM -

You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
