Hi,

I am trying to see if there is a way to transfer .GBA files onto my FlashAdvance Pro card with any type of homebrew app?

I've been using my M3DS, but recently my daughter wants to play some older GBA games. Unfortunately my FlashAdvancePro card requires the use of a parallel port which I no longer have in my PC.

I tried both DSBrowser and GBALdr but they both didnt' seem to recognize the FAPro card in slot-2.

Is it even possible or am I SOL?

Thanks for any suggestions!

I am almost positive there is a homebrew program that can write to FlashAdvance cartridges from a slot-1 device, but I can't remember what the name is.

Okay wait, I found it - http://code.google.com/p/fas1/ - but it does not work on Flash2Advance cartridges, which http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/Flash2Advance tells me is the same thing as a Flash Advance Pro. Sorry man, you're out of luck.

Thank you sir!

I figure I give it a try since I got nothing to lose, and bam, everything worked fine! It recognizes it as a Turbo one and just write to it. Sure, I lose the multi-game capability, but not a big deal for me since I can just put everything in the slot 1 card.

You've been a great help!!!!

Wow, I didn't expect it to work. Do games save correctly, and can you backup the save file with FAS1 correctly?

Just a random idea: try downloading the "loader3.3" file from the Downloads section of http://members.home.nl/penpvdbs/frames.htm and using the "copy /b" command from the command-line to combine two or more games together into one *.gba file. As long as this output *.gba file is less than 32 MB in size, it could work for you, though I doubt saving would be handled correctly.
