Hardware Top Screen Ribbon Cable Cut - Any Chance of Repair?

I recently got a non working 3DS XL. After opening it up I found out that the top screen ribbon cable was cut. I've looked online and I can't even find the top screen ribbon cables sold by themselves so it doesn't give me much confidence, but is there anyway to the replace the cable without getting a new top screen?

No chance of repairing the old ribbon, you need a new one.

EDIT: Whoopsie, I linked you to the wrong ribbon. Can't seem to find a top screen one, but browse around - I found a couple different types on dx.com.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting to actually fix the broken cable, I just wanted to know if I could replace it without having to get a totally new screen.
But looks like I don't have a choice. Thanks anyway.
