Actually, Seasons and Ages are two completely different titles. All of the dungeons are different, as is the story, the map itself, the gameplay mechanics, and some of the items and characters as well. It's not like Pokemon Blue/Red, where the only real difference is exclusive pokemon - it's more like Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time, where some of the elements are the same, but the games themselves are completely different.

Not that I wouldn't kill to see a sequel to or to see it on the 3DS Virtual Console/3D Classics. Those two titles are simply awesome.

I agree. I wonder how they're going to go about with weapon upgrades. unbelievably long codes like the old games? Could be done using the 3DS notepad. Otherwise, use some new method? Only time will tell...

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who feels that those GBC ones were cool. The SNES remake on the GBA is good too but I just never really got into that one on the SNES or the GBA. Although this game doesn't have the same mechanics as typical console RPGs, it's still an RPG and I have a hard time cranking all the way through one. Although I guess Zelda series games have more fun factor than your typical turn based style or whatever Final Fantasy clone type games. Anyway, who wouldn't like to hit enemies with a sword in real time

Well I'm looking forward to more remakes toward the end of the year on Star Fox and Super Mario Kart. Maybe even a 2 1/2D 3D new super mario bros type game and of course we shouldn't forget that Metal Gear and Kid Icarus are slated for this console.

I'm still going to hang onto this 3DS. I think they learn from how the system sold on what direction to go with their new home entertainment console's peripherals as well. We have seen Nintendo using these handhelds as marketing testbeds for eachother (DS to DS Lite to DSi to 3DS and now from 3DS to the next home console that is going to be shown on the 7th of next month at E3).

This is just my take on things though, might not entirely be based on fact. It is just what I have noticed.

I should run on home and play more 3DS in the meantime. I've been playing wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much halflife2 on PC.

Don't see this being a problem. At least were getting upgraded graphics and stuff... as opposed to say the GBA, where there were loads of straight SNES ports. But did this make the GBA bad? Of course not. If you don't want to get the remake... don't get the remake.

Like for me. Zelda 64 is an amazing game. I still have my gold cartridge proudly. But the remake really doesn't excite me too much because I don't think the 3D will add much. But Starfox (which is actually the game in my N64 right now), now that excites me, because I think the 3D is going to be really cool in it and add a lot to the experience. I'm also looking forward to MGS because I haven't played it before.

Seeing as how we haven't had a good Star Fox game since Star Fox 64, a remake is well needed and hopefully gets Nintendo to wakeup and reboot the franchise because honestly, Assault and Command were both really really bad games though I loved Star Fox Adventures while so many people hated it.

For me remakes can do one of two things, completely ruin the experience or make the game better. I have come to accept that nostalgia is not that great, I went back and played Ocarina of Time on my Gamecube and found the controls were lousy. I remember when you could cycle targets with the Z trigger on the N64 super quick, the GC controller buttons are poorly mapped and poorly designed for use with Ocarina of Time to be honest. Especially the Z shoulder button, and then having to use either the C stick or X and Y buttons in order to use weapons which made holding the Slingshot or Bow armed a lot more difficult because even the slightest movement of the C stick would cause it to fire.

The Golden Eye remake for the Wii I thought was going to be nostalgia but they wound up butchering the game badly. The layout of most of the levels is rather irritating, the combat style was no longer fun and you can't have the run and gun attitude that you could originally and have to do so much stealth shit because of it.

i want a smash bros on the 3ds, i don't care if it's a remake of the original, or a completely new smash, i just want one!
This +1. Maybe a 3D smash would be good, with the star attack flying out in front or something...

that would be pretty cool, and still have stage builder, and wi-fi with no lag, and a create a character would be good too!
if only...

Again, I will ask, how many remakes of Zelda do we even really need? My fav one is the original NES one and I still haven't finished the GBC one (yes, gameboy color). And there's some good ones on GBA. Imho any Zelda game that is 3D is boring and rehashing more of those is futile. But then, they do sell and I guess that is all that counts. Re: Pokemon games. Same thing just about.

None of the ones that could be classified as remakes were truly remade to the point where the game was completely overhauled. All they did was upgrade the textures and better animations on A Link to the Past and added colour and some textures on Link's Awakening. Metroid Zero Mission was just a visually updated version of the original game as well and it turned out great.

Some games are meant to get remakes, people have been wanting a remake of Ocarina of Time for quite a while and that is what matters. It's a great game that will feel much better and look much better in the new generation.

Mii fighters would be cool, Streetpass could be used to have our Mii characters fight one another for various unlockables like items and weapons.

I'd rather have a character creator.

We need a new one.

I wonder if weapons would fall into the screen or from the background and not just fall or magically appear.

How would they even keep a created character balance?

Or even better, the next Jump Ultimate Stars-like game. If both, that would be awesome!

Super Smash Bros. isn't MK or Fight Night or UFC. There is absolutely no one to keep the game balanced with custom characters. I mean seriously a Marth clone with Ike's sword would be game breaking. You can tell when ppl can't play a game competitively online.

Oracle of Seasons and Ages were also password linked for secrets, items, and alternate endings. So essentially you could play the 2 titles 2 different times with different endings, if i remember correctly.

I believe there was supposed to be a third game released with these two games I think it was named soomething about a seed and get this they were going to have one of the titles be a remake(shock) of the first Zelda for NES. The outside of the first dungeon in one of the games resembles the first dungeon of Legend of Zelda.

*EDIT* If they remake these games I will totally buy them.

Hell yes. The Oracle games were my favourite GB games next to Warlocked.
