Sure, if truer blacks, no IPS glow, higher brightness, and lower power consumption isn't something that you desire, then TN panels are crappy.

3d is the same on both. How often are you looking at your 3ds from the side? Colors wash out at angles not dead on. It's all opinion. TN has advantages over ips and vice versa.
Probably both, depending on the factory it came from.
If in doubt, Google the first six alphanums of the serial.

It will be avaliable 03.01.17 and should be delivered on 05.01-07.01

I also hope there is a 10.x Firmware on it so Homebrew can be easily be done

Ok looked at the guide to a9lh and it seems that only for 11.2 is hardmod required, from 9.0.0 to 11.1 you can now do it with the help of soundhax, safehax and waithax. Sounds great

Got the New 3DS XL a month back from target and 3Dsident says both TN...
All the new January 2017 ones that I checked from Target are top IPS, so if you are looking that's a good bet.
Well, they were a year ago when they were limited edition. Now, they're ~$400 on Amazon or eBay.

@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one -

I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!

I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
