Hacking This black screen is bugging me.

Hey guys, new member here.

I've been browsing this site for a few days now, and it's bee a great help to me for so many homebrew questions. However, I've one issue that I can't seem to figure out: My wii shop channel, as well as my mario party 2 wad, loads a black screen which freezes my console, requiring an unplug and replug. The only suspicion I have is that whilst attempting to use the d2x cios installer, my console was unable to connect to the internet so I downloaded ios56-64-v5661.wad and io57-64-v5918.wad. When trying various ways to get the installer to work, I decided to use waninkoko's wad manager (1.7) to install them directly, which may have been a bad decision. I've tried multpile different mario party 2 wad files, but I actually purchased it from the shop channel first (again, the shop channel black screens on me).

It also does the same thing when played from the sd card. And I just noticed that my save data for it is also gone... That sucks.

I also tried to do a syscheck, but that crashes at the end of the check (I read somewhere that it doesn't work on wii u update 5.2). Anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks!

You can't use Wii IOSes on vWii. That's what you did wrong.
You'll have to get the correct vWii IOSes somewhere and install them. They can't be downloaded with NUSD but have to be dumped from a Wii U.
Once you have them, you can also use them with d2x cIOS installer.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I'm surprised as well that the vwii is still functioning. Thanks for the quick replies! Is there any way of uninstalling those IOS then? When I try to uninstall from wad manager it gives me a ret=-1017 error, which seems to mean something different on every forum I check. Also, all of my other wads install/play fine. Mario party 2 is the only one that black screens, which is quite frustrating.
