Hacking Thinking about getting GnM

There's a 3.4MB maximum it will load (so far I've noticed). I don't like it, but for 20 bucks and I had a 1GB microSD already, I wanted to dig into it anyways. Some homebrews don't work, most do. Commercial roms are larger than 3mb anyways. Smallest I found was a 8mb Billards game from Japan. I will be looking into the R4 or something snazzy soon but I want to wait and learn the pros and cons first. Haven't ripped any movies since I have a ipod touch, same with music. This is strictly for the homebrews and apps.
The DLDI patch is very important, get the correct one. I am on a mac and a fellow made a droplet program that patches my .nds files, drag and drop style.

The Guitar Tuner is cool, but sensitive, everyone needs to shut up if you are trying to tune.
I'm going to download the reader and organizer tonight for work related projects. How much more of a nerd can I be??

As far as DLDI patching goes, I had the best luck with the v1 DLDI patch using BOTH the packed in 128MB uSD AND Kingston (Japan) 2GB uSDs.

Also, it ran fine using Rudolph's 3in1 Exp Pack Tool homebrew and my 3in1, well that is until I loaded Pokemon Emerald into NOR FLASH after which the GnM would just white screen when I had my 3in1 inserted. Other GBA ROMs in NOR FLASH worked fine with the GnM though, but if you get white screened AND have NO other better slot-1 you're SOL.

(I bought the GnM when I bought my DS to play around with homebrew and my 3in1 until I got better slot-1 carts, which in my case turned out to be the Cyclo DS Evolution AND the Supercard DS One SDHC. BOTH of which are INFINITELY superior to the GnM for ANY application.)

DO NOT get a GnM. It is the worst decision I ever made. I got one and it has been nothing but trouble. First of all its homebrew support is terrible. Also, it is very slow and freezes up the DS sometimes. Why would you want to get one anyway? You have a DSTT right. I would just do what neschn said and get another memory stick. You can get them cheap on eBay.

SO TRUE!! I bought one by accident and it took two weeks to arrive, when It came the games that it had already included weren't compatable and also couldn't save
Also Datels NDS stuff is all crap and terribly made. Except the Trainer Toolkit, that actually is useful and has survuived my record of a datel product (action replay DS 2 1/2 weeks)
