Went to the flea market looking for a 3.5mm to 3.5mm for my Casio Keyboard, and found a 320GB HDD for less than a buck.
Also, got me earbuds with mic.

EDIT: Aw shucks... no luck this time. The drive is dead and I tried Diskpart, HDD Revover Tools and Low Level Formatting tools... nothing worked.
Not gonna lie, 320GB for less than a dollar would've been sweet... oh well 🤷‍♂️

EDIT: I think I've found why the HDD wouldn't work...

Welp, someone dropped off a Powermac G5 and a 23" Apple Cinema Display to go with it at work for recycling...

So I'm recycling it to my house :) Still need to get everything tested, haven't opened the Powermac yet to see what the specs are, but it did at least power on and boot into MacOS so that's good.

Unfortunately the monitor didn't come with the proprietary power brick, so ordered one off of ebay so I can test and see if it works. Having a display from 2004 that does 1920x1200 will certainly be interesting if it works
Finally popped it open today, looks like the guy who owned it previously did some upgrades

It's the 2.5Ghz Mid 2004 PowerMac G5. Has an ATI Radeon 9800XT with 256MB of VRAM, 6GB of DDR, and 2x 500GB SATA HDDs in it. Honestly not much more for me to do to this thing as far as upgrades go, the only thing I really should do is refurbish the liquid cooler that's in there, apparently the particular model I have is one of the worst for leakage issues so I'm surprised it hasn't leaked just yet.

Still waiting on the power supply for the Apple Cinema Display, hopefully that works just fine and I'll have a nice display to go along with it.

I called my TV/phone/internet provider to see if they had any deals. I got $100 off my bill and faster internet. Now I am paying $175 a month; before, I was paying $275. My internet speed was 360 Mbps unlimited; now it is 500 Mbps unlimited.

Kinda also fixed this today, arrived HDD shot. Didn't boot, nor react to any secret handshakes. Changed the original HDD to one TB I had lying around and after partitioning etc boots normally.

Kinda interested to see what kind of usage I'll get out of this guy as I still have my X360 library and now the dev mode is free as well.

That Xbox sure does need a good clean to remove the sticker gunk.

Old warriors should show their battlescars proudly :rofl2: I'll probably clean the cover when taking the console one more time apart for SSD and repasting. Did a rush job just to see if the console is salvageable at all.

Fell asleep too early yesterday (busy work week) so I only picked it up this evening.

The rest arrived earlier during the week (including some other accessories I didn't put in the picture).

I gotta say, removing the joycon and putting it back in is one if the best feelings ever. I love magnets.

Edit: somehow picture wasn't uploaded.

That looks sick. I'm sure you'll get better reception overall rather than relying on using headphones as an antenna.
Headphones actually work pretty much just as well, a good antenna for FM radio is really just any piece of wire that's between 50-150cm long (75cm being roughly the best) with fairly low impedance, unless your specific radio requires something different.
The main reason I wanted one is really just that this antenna is easy to have poking up without anything else, unlike headphones where you'd want to have at least some part of the cable in a straight line.
Also because it looks silly, that just had to be.
