lol, Sora brought up something else that I hate, targeted advertising. I don't know what I did to deserve this, but an ad with a picture of a bear's face mangled with a rope keeps following me all over the internet*. Several months before that I accidentally clicked on a dental ad and I got trolled by various pictures of rotting teeth for months.

God I hate Adsense.

*Catboy, did you send the Cavalry after me?

1) The adverts on the "can you run it" website that make you wait 30seconds everytime you wanna check if a game runs on ur pc. I know 30seconds doesnt sound like much but its EVERY time you check a diffrent game and it soon becomes rage inducing.

2) Auto-play adverts that are invisable on the webpage.

3) Ads that scroll down the page with you forcing you to find the "close button" which ususally doesnt show up till the end of whatever is being advertised.

I miss the days when websites were just text with plain backgrounds like gamefaqs

well, i hate a certain forum that don't allow outside links even for news sources. and i see a lot of "please +rep me if i helped you
biggrin.gif
"
they don't even follow their own rules. 140x450 image limit and 4 line limit in sig? but i see lots of images in their sigs.

Sites that google shows as having an answer only to load it and it asks for premium membership before it will reveal the the answer, especially annoying in that I can't block it without logging into Google.
Get a User Agent Switcher for your browser and set it to the google bot, then clear all cookies and turn acception of cookies off. Like magic, now YOU can see the same stuff google can (in most cases) without having to sign up.
Hm. I bypass that by using the Google Cache of the page. But that sounds much better.

-Places with crap moderation
-Sites where you have to complete stupid and pointless surveys to do things
-Ads with sound (Adblock ftw)
-Sites that can check if you are using an ad blocker
-Ads within text on a page
-Google Ads that are completely irrelevant to the topic at hand
-Ads that pop up when you click ANYWHERE on a page
-Sites that have dialogue popups saying JUST WAIT. CLICK CANCEL TO STAY ON THE F'ING PAGE OR CLICK CONTINUE TO CLOSE IT when I want to leave the f'ing page
-Sites that tell you to sign up for content, and when you do, it's limited unless you become a supporter (moneywise, mind you)
-Sites with background music
-Sites with crap looks and/or cheezy .gif backgrounds
-Sites with craploads of javascript/flash content to kill any computer
-Sites with advertisements for false programs
-Sites with annoying ads that scroll down pages as you scroll up and down
-Sites with ads/other crap over the content that I am trying to view/interact with (YouTube is bad for this)
-Very outdated pages that are still somehow popular
-Pages that say "BLAZING FAST DOWNLOAD SPEEDZ and it takes forever to download what I need
-Forums that give you crap just for saying "I have a rom." (Yes, I have gotten in crap just for saying those 4 words.)
-Pages that open tabs upon tabs and crash my browser
-Pages that have similar URLs to other sites that I use that usually have viruses and crap (like the many iterations of Google)

...I could go on, but I want others to have their turn.

ESPECIALLY when you've just installed that codec.

That's just a total slap-in-the-face when it happens.
"I've already installed your goddamn plugin! Let me watch the fucking video!"

yeah so you are talking about THAT forum.
The "other one that looks so much better" is the one with a general black/grey and red theme.

EDIT: I hope that's not as confusing as it sounds

Here's one that bothers me. When I do a Save-Shutdown with Firefox then turn it back on if any of the windows was YouTube the video will start playing. This is compounded by the number of YouTube windows opened. Imagine ten videos running at the same time.
10 videos at once? try that + 30 other tabs killing my slow internet,
hate2.gif
but now it doesn't matter that I have over 100 tabs.
laugh.gif

Try the Firefox addon Bartab lite. It makes firefox only open the tab you were on, and then the other tabs when you click on them, but I wish the original was updated, because it let me unload tabs & free memory.

what annoys me?
-Turn off adblock+
-Turn off adblock+
-Turn off adblock+

No!!

Are you sure you want to leave?
Really??
Ok choose leave page to stay on the page.

Let me go! I want out.

Heads up. That links to Adult Friendfinder. That site has breasts galore.

Owait. I hate that too. Especially when a over-protective mother is watching every thing I do.

Sorry. And that other thing is also a bad part of the big T sites.

-Pop-up ads that aren't blocked by adblock plus (I'm talking about you, Megaupload)This is often done by embedding an invisible overlay so that the first click you do on a site opens a new ad window, and since you clicked on the ad yourself your browser can't know if it's something that should be blocked or not.

The screen jerks up and down while it's loading and you accidentally click on a wrong link. (this might be a browser issue but sites can help by being lightweight)That's always irked me... I like browsers that pre-fetch image size data so they can structure the page once without having it re-structure as images are loaded.

Pick porn sites that aren't trying to install adware.

Yeah, those need to be banned.

Thankfully Chrome and Firefox can detect those and only ask you once.

I know the DS browsers are bad for that. It happens a lot to me.

I'm glad for that, although when I get ads/popups, it is fairly annoying.

I hate
1. Sites that put too many scripts and too many animation and ads into the whole site
2.Sites that requires you to do things too download software but won't exactly start the download

Sites that reject emails of a certain provider that i use
