The dual screen controls is what made me ragequit during thr first part of the game. I mean, yeah I could pull it off without that, but I was thinking it was required later in the game, so I just dropped it and moved on to another titles.

And with that, toodles. i'm off to bed.

Isn't that what makes this game unique though?

Unique, yes, but unique isn't always good, especially since it is physically impossible to actually watch both screens at once.

I wouldn't want a sequel to the story, but a different/altenative universe with different characters would be nice.

I loved the split screen battle system, it was hard to use at first, but by mid-game it was amazing to pull off some great combos using both touch and buttons.

Physically impossible for you, maybe, haha. I learned how to unfocus my eyes and watch the whole scene at once while playing DDR competitively, and it translated well to this game. I just found both halves of the combat system uninteresting (the top was just dull) so I'm in the same boat as you - unique isn't always good, and in this case I think the uniqueness of the control scheme ultimately caused the game to suffer.

The dual screen wasn't as physically impossible as much as it was a headache to me.

Yeah, I had a couple of friends who made the top auto because they got tension headaches from playing - people who otherwise never get gaming-related headaches, heh. But playing with half the game turned off was too easy, and removed most of the franticness for me.

I never get game or computer related headaches, but the dual screens for TWEWY gave me a huge one. Probably because I was bored with the game and tried to force myself to like it while already a bit annoyed with it. haha, I will never know XD

still, it doesn't change the fact that my DS screen protector is quite visibly scratched when you put it up to light.

Or five years of Meteos. My Lite has vertical lines worn into the touch screen.

Elite Beat Agents...
Took me two minutes to open my DS Lite, play some EBA and realize that I had scratched it.

I'll put it on my Acekard and play it on my sister or mom's DS since I hate them both anyway

I'll just play while she's sleeping

Guys, you don't have to use both screens at the same time... in fact, it would be like newbie playing.

You just use the screen with the light puck (which makes you deliver hugeamounts of damage), so you play alternately up screen-> down screen->up scren -> down screen.

In fact, thats the only way to kill taboo noise or defeat bosses quickly.

TWEWY was AWESOME in my opinion, and I can't believe how many people hate it...

It seems like most people just didnt like or 'get' the battle system, but it was perfectly fine for me.

I mean, like the previous post said..

The whole point was to try and be efficient - kill as much as you can below, then do combos to build up the gauge, etc...

ANYWAY I don't think they should make a sequel - a lighthearted spin-off could be cool, but I'd prefer they make more original games... :/

The story in TWEWY was way more immersive than any FF game on DS, in my opinion, so I dunno why so many people are bashing it >:
