Yep it does but only after you defeat Red IIRC

My question might sound noobish but:

Anyways, I'm having trouble getting the machine part (or whatever it's called in HGSS). I know in the old G/S, it's found in Cerulean Gym, but I can't seem to find it in HGSS. The Dowsing Machine doesn't pick up any signal inside the gym. Is it inside the gym in HGSS, or is it somewhere else? If so, where?

in cerulean gym, go to the top most float.. its like in between the umbrella and the float.. =)rmb the top most ones!

you DONT have to beat the elite four twice.. just ONCE will do.. after that you have to get 16 badges.. then go talk to professor Oak. he will tell you about Red.. then go to mount silver .. and battle Red..
he will leave after you beat him and the credits will roll.. after that,make sure you have 1 space in ur party.. go talk to prof. oak( if i remember correctly)to get ur kanto starter; he will give you either charmander,bulbasaur or squirtle.. according to your choice.

for the hoenn starter, go to silf.co(sorry forgot the name of the company)located in safron city; make sure you have 1 slot in your party. go talk to steven and he will give you torchic,mudkip or treeko.

What i was saying though is that he went to Silph Co. and steven wasnt there after he had done all of that. So the only thing i could pin it down to is to do the league twice. i mean hey, it makes sense, First time and beat red for 1st gen, then beat the league the second time when there pokemon change and there levels, and beat red again for 3rd gen?

So today SS Aqua boards from Vermillion City. I went on it, beat all the trainers but the boat is still halfway to Olivine City. Is the travel real-time based or do I have to do something like walking a certain amount of steps? I've talked to everyone. I'm stuck. I'm speculating it's real time so I'm leaving it off for 30 minutes and will see.

You have to find the little girl and bring her back to her dad on the boat!
Since i cant read japanese, i talked to EVERYONE on the boat and then talked to the guy that blocks you from the engine right? and you go up ladder and the little girl is there, she will run of and blah blah, i THINK you have to find her a second time close to her dads room, talk to her again and she'll go in the room, talk to the dad then the boat will be done.

NVM. It's solved. Just had to go to bed for the boat to board to Olivine.

I forgot to mention it was my 2nd time going to SS Anne so there's no story inside the boat (no lazy worker, no lost daughter, no sick captain)...

But it's all in japanese, so I can't understand what she wants and she wasn't there in the old versions, what i'm supossed to do?

I think I have not captured enought pokemon, but that's just my opinion, please help =)

You can verse red again after the league, But before you fight him a second time, you gotta go through the league again.

Yup, you can grind on him, but you have to keep beating the league everytime too. I train on him.
