Is it okay to use the USRCHEAT.dat file if I have an Acekard 2 with the AKAIO loader? I just found out today that I should use the other one, but I don't want to rebuild all of my .cc's from scratch :s

The latest Cheat DB can be found at cheats.gbatemp.net. AKAIO can use CHEATS.XML, CHEAT.DAT, or USRCHEAT.DAT format. Simply download and place the file at "__AIO/cheats."

Hi, I wasn't sure if this was the right place to ask this but I have an R4 Clone (R4 Ultra) and it doesnt seem to read cheats off of the CHEAT.DAT or USRCHEAT.DAT but instead seems to create .CHT files beside the games. These cheats are in chinese and I can't read them. I was wondering if anybody knows how to get the R4 to read off the CHEAT.DAT file?

first go http://cheats.gbatemp.net download the latest cheat.dat and delete all the exisitng usrcheat.dat/cheat.dat and .cht ?

—–R4DS/M3DS Simply/N5DS Cheat Tutorial—–
(1) The R4DS uses the cheat.dat and usrcheat.dat files. Use only one of these files, not both as using both can cause some cheats not to show up.
(2) After downloading the cheat.dat and usrcheat.dat files from the links provided, use WinRar/WinZip/7-Zip to extract the files.
(3) Copy the extracted files.
(4) Go to your SD card and paste the files in the “_system_” folder.
(5) If prompted to replace an older cheat file, click “yes” to proceed and overwrite the old cheat database.
QUOTESelect one game on the upper screen and enter "Setup" to enable cheat.
Touch button "[Y]Cheat" under game detail or press Y button to open cheat menu.
Select cheat in cheat menu and Touch button "[X]Enable" to enable a cheat or button "[X]Enable" to disable it. Touch button "[A]SAVE" to save all changes and quit the cheat menu. Now you can enter game with cheat enable.

But wouldn't it overwrite additional cheats that are not on the codelist?

if all the while you are using the cheats from gbatemp, you will only have more cheats instead of lesser cheats!

however, if you worry certain cheats that you have and we might not have it in the .dat
you just backup your current usrcheat,cheat or xml and if you find out any cheats that are missing
just post on the http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=84991, Narin will add it into the .dat!

or

you can add your cheats via the use or r4cce

Whenever I click on the R4CCE on my R4 DS SDHC, it just freezes up and does nothing. Anyone know the solution.

as far as i know cheat code editor (cce) do gives people some headache
but r4cce it shouldn't give you problem...
well make sure you download the latest r4cce, there is a link on the first post for downloading r4cce
then try use the r4cce to open/import the usrcheat.dat, cheat.dat and .xml
