When Nintendo begins enforcing auth requests for purchase validation, then all download tools will cease to function. You simply will not be able to access anything without owning it.

yes, but you can also update it on home menu and play it online
bans are just for CDN downloads with pirate tickets

if you have arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of your sd card and/or luma < version 7 then you probably have a9lh. to upgrade to b9s follow this guide https://3ds.hacks.guide/a9lh-to-b9s.html

if you have boot.firm in your sd card root then you might have b9s

if you have the latest version of luma (9,1) then you also probably have b9s since that version is not compatible with a9lh AFAIK

3dsident app could help you with identifying too

it would YES PROBABLY apply to those games - of course, it only applies at all 4 now if you sleep download (normal download is pretty much safe 4 now) so updates would be ok if you dont sleep download.

3ds.hacks.guide seems to indicate if you update both it will work.

Checks only happen on 11.8 and not on 11.7. For now 11.7 is fine till Nintendo bans acces for lower firmwares
