Thanks guys, the file has been updated

Not sure this has been addressed or is even a bug, but I've noticed v1.34 has the same issue with long cheat descriptions as 1.11X. 1.12+1 addressed this issue by allowing the longer descriptions to be viewed on the top screen, but 1.34 doesn't have this helpful feature (unfortunately).

I, too, noticed a problem with Clearlooks. It seems to scroll a little slower than the other skins, kinda like it lags the DS a little more. I recommend not using it until its problems have been fixed.

I think that may have something to do with using transparent files. When Toni and I were translating MoonShell 2.00 Beta 5, I found a readme by Moonlight in the skin tool folder that said the following:
If all of the PNG files are either 0% or 100% transparent, it will be easier to process the .skn file.

The files "FL_Double_ItemBG_Clear.png" and "FL_Single_ItemBG_Clear.png" have an especially large influence on the scrolling sensitivity of the file list (but it has no effect on the frame border).

The drawing speed for each level of transparency are as follows: 0% (completely transparent) is the fastest, next is 100% (completely opaque), then 6.25%/12.5%/25%/50% (all about the same speed), and transparency levels other than the ones listed above are the slowest.
If the transparency level changes a lot horizontally, navigation becomes extremely slow due to multiple state changes that occur. Small vertical changes in image transparency have no effect on the speed.

As much as possible, avoid using transparent colors; skins which separate transparent and opaque images are the fastest.
However, as long as you use transparent colors in image files other than "FL_Double_ItemBG_Clear.png" and "FL_Single_ItemBG_Clear.png" the decrease in speed will probably not be noticeable.

With BMP files, the loading time (screen transition time) will slow down a little, but the complexity of the image will not affect the line drawing speed.
I don't know anything about skinning, but since the skinning for MoonShell 2 and M3 Sakura are similar, the info above probably applies to Sakura skins as well.

Ah, so that would be the culprit. Makes sense to me. Thanks for the info Densetsu.

Thanks Densetsu. I'll get work to fixing it (changing the transparency to 100%) as soon as I can

OK, here they are:
http://www.homebrewed.co.cc/uploads/

Unfortunately, there are now 3 versions:

Normal: The 'new' Sakura Clearlooks. No transparency, and coloured to imitate the effect of the original (custom wallpapers not recommended).
Default: No transparency, and coloured to match the original Clearlooks theme. May not look that great (custom wallpapers usable).
Original: The item BG has transparency, which results in a mildly slow interface. Looks a lot better, though (recommended for custom wallpapers).

@Densetsu3000: Yeah, I know

. I've only just started coming back here again. I would make more skins, but I just don't have any ideas

! Perhaps I'll make some more Visual Style based ones. Human, maybe. Or perhaps gfxOasis...

I'm not sure if the no-transparency solution worked or not, so you'll have to give me some feedback. Also, I fixed the launch menu problem someone stated earlier.

Thanks strata8! Yeah, I'm not sure if it works either, it's just an idea I threw out there. If it works, great!

As for the launch menu problem, are you referring to the launch menu not showing up when you press Select?

Hmm. It works for me... is it a server error, or is your browser opening it as a text file?

If it is the latter, try right-clicking on it and click 'Save Link As'.

No, it's not that one

In my original skin, the launch menu info windows at the top had labels on them, and this caused it to overlap.

Updated the GBAtemp download. This package still includes the wallpapers and source files:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=3008QUOTE(mc_B3oWoLF @ Feb 20 2009, 05:42 PM) Here's a 'restyled' version of my skin.

It was created specially for new versions of Sakura (With built-in "Rom Options" menu)

Though it's in Russian, maybe anyone else would like to try it

(I mean - not only those ppl, who can read Russian)))

Vista Rus 1.34 [M3 Sakura Skin]
Thanks guys, I've updated the skin section, and I also added a new skin section for other languages. I don't know why I never even thought to do that in the first place!
