What is this Panasonic SD Formatter supposed to do what mkfs can't? I am asking because I'm also on Linux but I have never needed to use Windows software for this task.

Have you already tried to use "mkfs.vfat -F 32" on your SD card?

I tried with gparted, which must use mkfs, but it didn't work.
Apparently, sometimes the fat written on the SD card by classic format method is slightly different than the one expected. It's the first time I've got this probleme, the new Sakura must be more sensitive to this than the older version.

Thanks for adding my text Densetsu.
But could I have the source of the NEW M3Sakura skin please ?
I would also like to know what police and what size you used in the skin please.

I don't have the skin source files. Are they available at all? If they are I will post them on the FAQ so everyone will see the files.

Ah... sorry. I thought they were available at all. So what police and what size did you use for the last M3Sakura skin (1.12)?
EDIT : I give up skin's translation.
I corrected some mistakes in my French translation : http://www.megaupload.com/fr/?d=NIK2YZ8K

I tested the Panasonic SD Formatter (that make Sakura 1.34 works) and inspect the SDcard with fsck.
First thing was that I have to set the size adjust of panasonic tool at "on" otherwise, fsck was complaining that "Free cluster summary wrong".

I tried several options of mkfs.vfat to match the result of panasonic and the only one I couldn't match was the sector/track (62 sectors/track, 124 heads for mkfs and 63 sectors/track, 128 heads for the panasonic tool) but Sakura still refused to load.
Code:
mkfs.vfat -v -F 32 -s 64 -R 6278 -h 8192 /dev/sdc1

Then I tried mformat and as soon as I set the number of sector/track and head, Sakura1.34 loaded without problem (no black screen and no freeze on loading)
the minimal command I had to use was:
Code:
mformat -t 973 -h 128 -s 63 -H 8192 k:
with k defined in my /etc/mtools.conf as follow
CODEdrive k: file="/dev/sdc1" exclusive

Now I know how to format my card to make it works with Sakura but I still need th panasonic tool to get the correct number of heads and sectors/track if I want to format an other card.

If i am using My M3 Real to just play Games should i still use Sakura if so why

its faster and more sleeker than touchpod (M3 Real loader) and this new release comes with both built in anyway so you can switch between the two at any time

Omg so sad...

Had so much hope.

The SYSTEM folder is not working. When it boots up, I click on M3Sakura. It then says loading... and stays there for ever! When I clicked touchpod instead of M3sakura, it worked...

Who wants touchpod anyways, it's very "ugly"...

Please help.

Thanks

how do i load RTS in Sakura when i hold L+R & Y no RTS comes up

I am now totally confused... It worked, then:

!! A Fatal error has occurred !!

Cluster link has been interrupted.
File is possibly corrupt.

Recovery method:
Backup all files to hard disk,
and recopy after formatting card.

Application terminated.

Please help.Did you use iSakuReal? If you did, try deleting ALL iSakuReal files from your card, then copy the new SYSTEM file to the card. Better yet, back up your card, format it using the Panasonic SD Formatter, then copy the new SYSTEM folder to the card by itself.

You probably did all of this, but just to make sure, did you actually select the option for RTS: LR+Y? And did you remember to create an RTS Backup file for the ROM? You have to tap the RTS Backup button at the top of the NDS Settings.

a little error in the DS options screen, don't know if it is for all translations.
on my m3real the cheat options are like this:

O off _____ O always on
O toggle

but it should actually be:
O off _____ O toggle
Oalways on

I just tested it and it's the same for me too. I need to check my translation again.

*EDIT 1*
I just checked the messages.000 file against the original Japanese messages.932 file and the translation is correct. It's just that it's backwards on the Japanese file too.

I guess I could just switch the strings in the language file and update the firmware with it. I'll try it out right now.

*EDIT 2*
Ok, I figured out how to do it and still make it look good, but now it needs to be fixed in all of the other languages.

Just extract and copy this SYSTEM folder to the root of your card.
