Since M3 Sakura has been released as a beta for the USA/EUR flashcarts, is it possible to run it in a R4?
No.

*EDIT*
Just realized that it's a one-word post

Well, now I'm sure I've got the Euro version, I tried Japanese and Asian ones, for both it says there's no system file. With the US/EUR one, it boot to black screens. I thought it could be a problem with french files, so I switched the DS to English, but it's the same.

It's weird I'm the only one it this case.
Do you think it could be the SD card (it's a Crucial 1GB) even if I never had any problem with it ?

I also have this problem with Sakura 1.34 (iSakura 1.12 boot flawlessly), I tried to have only system folder and nothing else on the card without success. Reformating the card did'nt work either.
It was only when I forced a fat16 reformat that It booted and gave me the choice between Sakura and touchpod, if I select TouchPod, touchPod is launched successfully (I didn't tried any roms since I wanted to see the new Sakura) but when I choose Sakura, I just get the loading screen and nothing else.
I tried to press A during the loading of Sakura(not during initial boot) as some said it could solve the problem but it didn't worked.
I'm using the US/EUR M3 card with a DS language set to French (maybe I could try to change the DS language once formated with fat16).

Update: tried to change the language to English or Japanese, with GBA pack or Rumble Ram pack and without any extention and still freezing at the loading pink screen.

Update2: now I remember why I formated the card with Fat32. With fat16, Touchpod was working fine but Sakura complained that it was not able to use clusters with a size greater or lower than 32k size (dont remember well). My SD card is a 4Go.
Could it be that the chooser loader is not able to boot using Fat32 but if using Fat16 with High Capacity Card, the cluster size prevent Sakura to boot and while the previous version printed error on screen, the 1.34 have the same problem but doesn't print anything?

I have a 4 Gb SD card formatted as FAT32 and it runs fine as always. Try formatting using Panasonic SDFormatter, works wonders with this kind of problems. If it does not solve your problem either then I don't know what else you could try... maybe another SD card?

Edit: to include link to the app.

Densetsu, thank you for your great package ("M3 Sakura 1.34 Beta for US/EUR M3 Real (English)" with the latest Touchpod system (v4.2e E38)) !
But I have a question : are TouchPod languages other than english supported ? because in the readme you mention menu.eng with font fixing etc... but what about menu.fra, menu.ger, ..., are they also up to date and font fixed ?
Maybe my question is not relevant ? but it is unclear to me.

Did it misinterpret the function to hide filename extensions or does it not work at all? No matter if this option is disabled, the extensions will always show. Then again, the .nds extension in the quick launcher is always hidden.

AFAIK disabling the option actually shows the extensions, if you want to hide them the option should be enabled. Can't test it right now so it's possible that it does not work anyway, but just wanted to clarify that point.

Hello !
First sorry if there are any mistakes in my text.
I'm new here and I wanted to know where I can have source of sakura skin and how to edit it then. I already translate M3 sakura text.
Thanks in advance.

Maybe my question is not relevant ? but it is unclear to me.I didn't really put the package together in the first place, I just sort of added to it and uploaded it. I honestly don't know the answer to your question. I'm visiting my fiancee in New York right now and I left my US/EUR flashcart in California, 4600km away. I have no way to check it, so try it out yourself.

I just turned on my DS to try it out, and it's not reversed. Enabling the option hides them, disabling shows them for me.

*EDIT*
Can someone please verify the file extension show/hide option? If it doesn't work as powered_by_tux reports, I'll list it as a bug. If it's reversed, I'll post a video showing that it works perfectly fine for me on the Japanese version. If it's reversed for US/EUR Reals, it would be easy to fix. It would just be a matter of changing the string "Hide filename extensions" in the messages.000 file to "Show filename extensions." I can't imagine why it would be reversed for the US/EUR version though, unless they deliberately changed it for some reason.

Sorry for the double post, but the limit is 3 quotes per post.

You can find skin source files in the old M3 Sakura FAQ.

*EDIT*
Did you check the messages.001 file? Were there any mistakes? If you revised it, could you please post it so we can include it in the firmware? I don't think French, Portuguese and Italian have been checked yet.

The problem is that there is no linux version of the program and didn't found what is the difference between the panasonic format and a classic format, ie what option I could use to format the card with mkfs.vfat the same way the Panasonic program does.

Did you tried via wine ? I'm a linux user too, so I'm interested with the answer too. I'll try when back from work...

D'oh! Sorry about that

*EDIT*
A-suuga: Your French revision has been added!

Nagaroth: I also replaced the Spanish file with yours because when I looked at them both, I liked how yours uses the accented characters (áéíóúñ) where necessary. The previous one did not.

I think I found the problem.

If the option to hide filename extensions works for you, then you configured Sakura to use the two-lined display mode. Please try it again with the single line mode.

You're right. It's easier for me to use the stylus in 2-Line Mode, so I never use 1-Line Display Mode. That's why I never noticed.

Hmmm...was this a problem in v1.12? If not, then I'll list it as a bug for 1.34.

I never noticed that bug either, but I always use the 2-Line Mode as well. If I have time later today I'll check if it's the same in 1.12 and report back with the results.

Nagaroth you were right, the panasonic SD Formatter made the deal, thank you. Unfortunately it doesn't seems to work under linux (even with wine), I had to boot on windows
