Cant wait to see what Tanooki and Reggie both turn into. Vash, Virus, and Maniac all have did some awesome work with ACCF and since Mario has a larger user base, Tanooki should evolve into the ultimate level editor. Great work so far guys

VashTS said:that seems to be the only thing lacking here is the graphics, but like was stated earlier reggie has had a techincally longer dev time due to similarities in the ds version. its a little clunky to work with right now, i gave it a peek and couldn't really do anything. but its great to see the work, keep it up vashGS remember who the humanoid typhoon is (me!)
What makes you think that Reggie uses ripped graphics?vashgs said:Yeah, we're still gathering all of the images for a full render (similar to that of Reggie!, which looks great BTW!)
I forsee a harshly worded cease and desist letter from Nintendo once we make a release with ripped graphics (like Reggie!). It's okay, though. There's always generic, yet user-friendly, graphics!

The only ripped graphics in Reggie are the item overlays which are shown on blocks (although they're not in the current release, or the one shown in the screenshots).vashgs said:Treeki said:What makes you think that Reggie uses ripped graphics?vashgs said:Yeah, we're still gathering all of the images for a full render (similar to that of Reggie!, which looks great BTW!)

Well, for one, you left the generic background color in from straight rips. Write your own tool to export to transparent PNG, instead. Removes that generic background color![]()

The background colour is there in the actual game - it only occurs on the flowers, and those are dynamically replaced with 3D flowers by the game (like the coins are).
I guess I've done the impossible then, because as far as I can see, there are none in Reggie: http://treeki.shacknet.nu/screenshots/romh...g/resources.pngvashgs said:Treeki said:The only ripped graphics in Reggie are the item overlays which are shown on blocks (although they're not in the current release, or the one shown in the screenshots).vashgs said:Treeki said:What makes you think that Reggie uses ripped graphics?vashgs said:Yeah, we're still gathering all of the images for a full render (similar to that of Reggie!, which looks great BTW!)

You know the ground, items, and everything else are straight rips. To suggest otherwise is just silly.
The entire ISO isn't required - just specific files from it. If the tileset files are illegal, then I assume the level files are also illegal.vashgs said:Unfortunately you have 2 other resources folders, full of rips. This is just silly to argue...
(unless, of course, you require the user has the ISO on harddrive to run your program and view the images. Which is, of course, illegal. Just saying...)
Yes because that stops all the Brawl hackers, the most active Wii hacking scene, from sharing Nintendo owned content.vashgs said:Unfortunately you have 2 other resources folders, full of rips. This is just silly to argue...

I actually burst out laughing when I saw your original post about ripping the graphics from the game.vashgs said:Treeki said:The entire ISO isn't required - just specific files from it. Easily avoided, creating custom encryption and file types to share Tanooki level files (for example). You of all people know that, with your DS editor. Requiring the files from the ISO isn't the best way to do it, and you should definitely know that.
