Hacking Tales of symphonia 2 NTSC-U green screen with gecko os

Hey thar.
I saw a few threads talking about this and people with exactly the same config as me (wiikey 1.9... g? or something and wii 3.2E) got it to work perfectly fine with gecko os,
well I can run it, but it's all black and white, and I'd rather wait till PAL version comes out than play it in black and white... l:

So yeah I'm using gecko os, didn't use regionfrii / brickblocker (no point right?) and I tried all the combinations possible, without anything the game runs, but in black and white and when I force pal I get this green screen and my wii freezes I have to turn it off manually.
I also saw some people recommend buying a rgb / component cable to get colors, does that work? o:

So I'm kinda surprised people got it to run fine, and since the threads are like 1 month old I'd feel like necro-ing.

halp plees, i'll pay anything (coffee, drugs, family members, rapidshare/wow accounts) anything.

Use the gamma loader and it will work fine. I'm having trouble beating the game and marta and emil are on level 70

EDIT : Actually dw answering there's nothing else with gamma in its name anyways,
hurry up beating the game if you need to finish it 5 times like TOS on GC, i can't wait you're awesome.

(also if i'm wrong i'll figure out tomorrow or something and crawl back in here)





EDIT 2 : Installed gamma channel, and it still loads black & white / green screen if I force pal 50 and 60 w/ or without vidtv fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

I assume you are using an RGB cable. If you use the video cable that originally came with the Wii package the colors should be fine.

and yeah i tried bruning another copy with brickblocker etc gamma loader didn't help at all i'm at the same point as before it still runs black&white
I bet it has something to do with my shit tv
(i can run us ssbb fine tho that's pretty wierd)

If you set video mode to NTSC and you get black and white playback, that means your tv does not support NTSC playback, it's a _very_ old one, right?
If you set video mode to pal and the game crashes at a green screen, that means the game doesn't like pal video mode and just can't be played with it.

Ok, so I know it's kind of a necro etc but,
I've been installing gamma channel on a friend's wii, and I wanted to try SSBB (US) with it, and SURPRISE, it plays black & white.
So, how come when I run it with the original disk channel on my wii that is chipped, I can play it fine, in colors, and when I use the gamma channel it runs black & white? l: (I used the same back up on both wiis).
