I have finally got my Vita (1100) and I have been playing around - testing plugins, playing some actual games. I created a 1GB internal memory card - Replaced Near with VitaDeploy. Etc. While I am waiting for my PSVSD to come in before I really start loading things up.

The issue started happening after i ran the Battery Fix app. When the system rebooted it told me I could not use my external memory card. So I formatted it (knewing I would lose all my customization). I tried another one that I knew was in working order, same thing.

What might be causing this? Should I perform a system restore?

So you format it through the Vita, reboot, and it prompts yet again at boot? Is it a Sony card or MicroSD (SD2Vita while you wait for PSVSD)? Is this your ux0 mount or secondary? And does it say why it must be formatted, such as being activated with a different account, or other issues? (If MicroSD, was this the card you formatted as FAT32?). You may need to format it via VitaDeploy or with the helper tool on PC (it will be EXFAT) to remove extra partitions that typically persist, possibly even with Vita fo

I twas my official cards. I have a 4GB, 8GB and a 64GB official Sony Memory Card. I am not using any other SD card based storage solutions until I get my PSVSD in.

I preformed a system restore and jailbreak and the cards are not working again. Could have been a plugin I installed. Note sure.

Appreciate your help XFox

DO NOT AND I REPEAT NOT perform a system restore. It will BRICK your Vita. You need to remove the hack PROPERLY before you perform a system restore.

Look to vita.hacks.guide in order to safely remove your hack. THEN perform a system restore.

I will consider myself lucky that I didn't brick my console. All good for now. I will look over the guide again. Thanks for the warning.
