Right I just want to give an update, I have been trying to get this going with a hidden partition after reading something in another thread.
This has probably been covered and mentioned and I have heard things but never listened, BUT different brand sd cards do make a difference!
I have been doing all my set up with an Integral sd card (bought as cheapest brand from Amazon) and I had all my above struggles, I had another branded sd card from Amazon (no logo on card so do not know the make) this just kept coming up with the sd card error like there was no card in it?
I have used Transcend in my other switches which have been great but didnt want to wait to order another one so found an 128gb Sandisk.
I formatted it to fat32, put in switch created hidden partition again. All set up fine, added license, this is where my issues have been.
Turned on, booted cfw loaded straight away!
Couldnt believe it. All these issues and the brand of the sd card was another one of the issues!
So check your sd card brands if you have issues like this, try and go with names mentioned to work.
As I said, sandisk and Transcend have worked well for me. Integral so now on my do not buy list!
Hope this helps someone!
