Fair, I've seen what you can do with it, I'm sure with some practice and confidence it'll come in handy thanks :)

Going to need a pic of your fingernails :rofl2: I do not believe I could catch that with my nails. I would recommend not touching that with your fingernails though, because I recommend not touching any of the PCB with your fingers. Its best to undo the latches with a foreign object, then lift the heat shield with a plastic spudgle.

As for risk of damage using needle, there shouldn't be any if the needle is fine enough, because it fits well into the clip's groove. I had zero issues with the needle coming out and poking the PCB.

To your defense though, I do not think many people are doing anything the correct way :rofl2:

As we've seen with the horror pictures from @squee666 plenty of people are not doing things correctly. It is pretty entertaining but also heart breaking

    Update OFW

    Make Emunand

Or load Emunand - Disable Stealth - Update

Question for the seasoned installers. Do you pre-tin the pads with solder on SP1 and SP2 before placing the ribbon in position on the caps?

Ok thanks. I thought it might be easier to pre-tin the pads and then reflow the solder when in position to cover the ends of the caps.
